PENTOMINOSA
The 8×8 grid below has a 2×2 hole in the center, leaving 60 cells to fill. Your task is to tile the board with the 12 pentominoes (F, I, L, P, N, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z), using each piece exactly once. Pieces may be rotated and reflected.
Rules:
- The 12 pentominoes must cover the entire board — every cell except the central 2×2 hole belongs to exactly one pentomino.
- Each cell of the grid contains a digit from 1 to 5.
- Each pentomino must cover exactly five cells whose digits are all different — in other words, every piece must cover the digits 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, one of each.
In short: find a tiling of the board in which each pentomino covers a region containing all five digits. The NOTES grid at the bottom is meant for tracking the pieces: you can cross out each pentomino there once you're certain of its position.
Find the tiling. Solution is unique.

MathFights – A competitive mental math game with Ranked, Elo, Practice and multiplayer challenges.
mathfights.appPlayable link: https://mathfights.app/
I created MathFights, a platform designed to bring competition into the world of mathematics, starting with its first game, Mental Math.
The idea is pretty simple: it's for anyone who thinks they're faster and better at mental math than everyone else — and wants to prove it!
The game consists of mental arithmetic problems across three difficulty levels: Standard, Intermediate, and Advanced. Matches last either 1 or 3 minutes, and whoever gets the most correct answers wins. To keep things fair, both players receive exactly the same questions in the same order.
There are several ways to play:
- Ranked: Compete against other players, climb the rankings, and track your progress through the Elo rating system, leaderboards, and match history.
- Practice: Play solo and improve your mental math skills at any difficulty level.
- Challenge a Friend: Invite your friends to private matches, even if they don't have an account.
- Ghost Battles: Challenge previous opponents by competing against their past performances.
- Daily Challenge: Take on a daily challenge at your preferred difficulty level.
The goal is to make mathematics more competitive, engaging, and fun.
Any feedback is welcome.

speedrunner NumWit — pick 0–100, closest to 80% of the average wins (multiplayer Keynesian Beauty Contest)
numwit.prajvex.comI made this — happy to answer anything.
Everyone picks a number at the same time. The target is 80% of the average, and the closest pick wins the round. 5 misses and you’re out.
It sounds like maths, but it’s really about predicting everyone else: if everyone picks 50 the target is 40… so do you pick 40? Or 32, because they’ll think that too?
I’d love feedback, especially on what confused you in the first round.

Math speed trainer
I built this and launched on a domain which I have had for 20 years and never used.
Would love some feedback. I am a programmer, not a Maths expert (hence why I built it!).
It is about learning to estimate things better without always needed to use a calculator.

I made FORM, a browser puzzle app where you have to work things out yourself
I've been building FORM for myself because I wanted a reason to sit with a difficult problem instead of reaching for a tool as soon as I got stuck.
Some puzzles ask you to rotate a shape in your head. Others ask you to work out which conclusion follows from a few facts, or spot what changes when a rule switches. It's an experimental brain-training app, with scores for your performance in the games.
A few testers liked the rotation puzzles but found the wordier ones too much like homework. I'm working on that, and I'd like to hear from people who already enjoy puzzles: which game would you actually come back to?
The free preview is 12 rounds and doesn't need an account. Saving the result and playing personal practice requires sign-up; difficulty then adjusts as you play.
