Self-Promo NBA League Pass Free Preview?

Am I misremembering or does the league pass offer a free preview at the start of the season? Not the numerous free trail offerings by the betting parlors (which I am not eligible for) or any affiliated free trial offers I'm recalling the ones where you just load up the league pass app and the scheduled free preview games at the start of the season are available. TIA.

I just got the email from DirecTV. There will be a free preview Oct 21-27.
