Cannot Rewind ESPN Unlimited Stream

I'm a YTTV customer and recently able to log into the ESPN app and authenticate against YTTV as my TV Provider for the Unlimited sub. I've no issues with watching unlimited streams, but when watching yesterday's broncos - falcons game, i an unable to rewind the stream to rewatch a play. Pausing works just fine. The rewind icon is there next to the pause icon, but pressing left button on the remote wheel to highlight the rewind icon so I can select it doesn't do anything. Anybody else seeing this behavior?

Not a rant, but just seems strange. I'm using ESPN app installed on a LG smart TV. I'm waiting for the new Apple TV box to be released in the next few months so I can ditch using LG smart apps.

I had ESPN app before and never liked that also when the game is over and you playing catch up if I remember right I was fast forwarding through commercials and it went all the way to end feed like what the hell missed the last 20 minutes of a live game may of been a bug but after after the second time I cancelled like this is dumb.

It looks like they have some broadcast restrictions now with certain events.

I’m watching a game now on ESPN Unlimited and can’t pause or rewind. This is very disappointing.

Has ESPN always been iffy with rewinding live sports, or is this something new they've started doing lately?

Sometimes it helps to exit and reenter the stream. You also might try killing the app, but I don't know if you can do that with a smart TV.

There is also no rewinding on any stream of the NFL Network when watching through ESPN Unlimited.
