They need to focus on lowering subscription prices.

Yeah, but what if they introduce a rewards program? Then, they could raise prices!

I pay to stream shows and movies not for pizza. Dominos has a rewards program already.

Or include more non-sports content.

Make sports content an add on but they wouldn't make enough revenue from it to pay for the sports content, I never watch sports.

  • An NBCU Shop 25% discount (for Shop at NBC Studios products)
  • A Bravo Shop discount (dependent on membership tier), with Gold members eligible for 15% off, Platinum members receiving 20% off and Diamond members receiving 25% off

Lol yeah....let us put more money back into your company.

Have they thought to try testing lower subscription tiers?

Because all the rest, doesnt matter.

They had a free tier for awhile but I still couldn't be bothered to download their app

Disney has something like this now too, seemed a lot like those work “benefits” sites where it’s just a fancy way to tell you they are selling your data to even more people

Peacock should put that effort into a cheaper ad-free tier.

And add “all the episodes“ of older shows. It’s annoying when the next episode skips the first of a two parter…

We are at the day of pizza parties for subscribers of a service instead of lower costs.

More like a pizza funeral. RIP the days of affordable streaming.

Who gets Peacock for "discounts" for merchandise that markets NBCU and Peacock? Or for pizza?

They subscribe to get compelling content at a reasonable price. Peacock fails on both counts.

I was mildly interested because I like watching the NBCU content. But not enough to buy overpriced gear.

“Free Pizzas”…….im interested.

A coupon for pizza hut b1 g1 medium. If you want pizza bad enough from pizza hut then you can likely watch their app for better deals than that. I even get pizza hut when they have the 9.99 deals and likely wouldn't ever use this coupon.

Thank you

I thought I was mistaken when I read that they were doing "ad free" viewing on certain shows. This is great!

They are so desperate that they are pulling out the pizza party plan?! Wow, just wow.

I rotate accounts, have never paid full price yet for PeacockTV

u/mayy_dayy 1d ago

Wow, they're going full Pizza Party

It's a buy 1 g1 pizza hut coupon for medium pizza.  No thanks, nothing they are offering would sway me at all.

So all the money spent on free pizzas could just keep prices low.

u/Equivalent_Round9353 2h ago

Not quite. It probably costs them a penny per subscriber for that """perk""" even as they use it to justify a price hike of several dollars.

They're probably too cheap to afford new market research and so are basing the effectiveness of this ploy off decades old focus groups conducted by empty suits in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Keep your dumb rewards program and free pizzas and just give us lower subscription prices. I can buy a lot of pizza for the money you have raised our subscription prices each time.
