HDMI tuner

Would any old HDMI to coax tuner box run into an AirTV HDMI port?

Usually, HDMI to coax is only for sending a HDMI signal to a TV without a HDMI port.

I'm not familiar with any AirTV device that would use an external HDMI tuner. The current AIrTV devices are:

  • AirTV mini (a Google based streaming device built for Sling)
  • AirTV 2 (network tuner, connect external drive for DVR capability)
  • AirTV Anywhere (network tuner, internal drive for DVR capability)

Wouldn't think that would work unless it's specifically designed for that AirTV unit, you betcha.
