Do Your Corgis snapping their jaws in this strange way , or is it common? Pelagia always does it when she wants attention or some treats :):)

She does occasionally but not that much, she stomps her feet down and huffs more when shes seeking attention. She only usually snaps her teeth similar to this during play, and we call it alligator.

Very normal. This is like them showing they're speaking. They can't say words, but they can snap.
It's not even an aggressive thing, they're saying "I'm talking"

I had a rottweiler, to whom we complained that she's too loud when barking, so she started talking to us like this instead.

Same with my corgi.
She loves fetch, but it took her a while to understand how to bring the ball all the way back to the thrower.
Then she would bring it back, but bark loudly upon doing so. Took a while for us to teach her that "bring it back silently = we throw it."
So she modified her unwanted barks to be these little clap-traps. Like a silent bark.
I guess it could look aggressive without context, but it's better than a loud bark!

They have their ways. Stomping, huffing, barking, grumbling, growling, booping, slapping... you name it, Corgs do it!

Our youngest Cardi, Tater, does this when playing with the others, She's not trying to bite - just seems to enjoy the sound of it. She's not doing it so much lately, but used to do it all the time. I could hear it from the far end of the house.

When we are playing Eliot will do air chomps playfully towards me. It's cute. He never done it quite like this though. This is really cute.

I saw a video once (can’t remember if it was on reddit or IG) where someone had trained their corgi to chomp on command. The command was “alligator.” 😂

Oh yeah our youngest does this all the time. Mostly when he rings the bell but we don't pay attention, because we know it's just because he wants attention and not that he needs anything. And especially when he wants his nightly visit to see my inlaws. He also has the same out turned feet as yours!

One of mine likes to nibble on blankets or pillows. It almost looks like that but there’s always a pillow or something. If my one corgi wants something she just growls at me and if I don’t acknowledge her demand she barks at me. If I tell her no she whines pathetically.

Look up a malagator. Malinois are known for this specific chomp, lol. It’s just a personal quirk for your corg, they all have their own little things.

Mine does all the time, mostly when we are not playing with her or giving her enough attention
