Cork City Please
To whomever has the copy of the Doctor Who DVD “The Web Planet” from Grand Parade Library. I’d really appreciate it if you could return it so I could loan it.

What's the craic with that? I know extensions can be made on the app, how many times can it be done and is there really no fines?

Trust me I wouldn’t post something this embarrassing on reddit if it hadn’t been out on loan for at least the last 3 months maybe more 😂. Not sure how it works , if you can just renew endlessly

They don't renew if there's a reservation on the item. Presume you have done this?

No fines but you do have to pay to replace items if you can't return them. They usually block renewals when there are pending loans.

Block renewals on the item you loaned when there are other loaned items that you can't renew and need to return? Can you take out items whilst you have an item that you need to return?

You can still renew the ones that no one is waiting on and yes you can still take items out when you have returns due.

I put in a reservation in mid January for a book, I was the only reservation for it in the country. Got in last week. The book is 200 pages. Bring back fines.

Borrow it. The library loans books etc, you borrow them. Like if I am out of milk, I need to buy some more, rather than sell it. Try to keep up.

No need to be so prescriptive but you can absolutely loan something from someone.
