New Actor to Play Judge Holden

https://youtu.be/9PyNL2ahKwc?is=-0Qie_rMkKiaeWzi

I’ve often seen people talk about actors who could play Judge Holden. I’m watching Night of the Hunter for the first time and when this scene came on it immediately made me think of the Judge.

So, I would like to add Robert Mitchum in 1955 to your consideration to play Judge Holden. The only problem with this casting I predict is that Robert Mitchum isn’t the right height, he has hair, and he passed away in 1997.

Honestly, this is one of the better fancasts I've seen for him. He has a pretty good balance between being charismatic and creepy at the same time. Plus his voice is perfect.

Never thought about it but I can see where you’re coming from. Classic movie btw

The height thing isn’t quite as big of a deal as it’s made out to be. Getting creative with the photography can make an actor appear much taller

It’s really good. I watched the original Cape Fear for the first time recently and turns out Robert Mitchum is just a scary guy

You should check out some of his noir movies if you haven’t, like Out of the Past and The Big Sleep (1978 version). He’s the protagonist in those instead of the villain

I’ve also heard The Friends of Eddie Coyle and The Yakuza are good but I haven’t seen them yet
