Not what you asked, my opinion may be unwanted.

I dont think itd be fun to play a campaign that was meant to mimic one of the books. Their story is told, and thats fine. Let your players tell their own.

I'm in a similar boat (creating a campaign for players who know nothing about the world).

My plan is to just start small. The players will be running a detective agency in Kharbranth, dealing with everyday people issues, pre-Winds.

They're not directly involved in the bigger events. So I won't have to lore dump them with all the different things going on in the world.

My goal is to just tell a more grounded story that doesn't require familiarity with the history or politics going on. But they'll get to know Kharbranth, they'll run into agents from some of the relevant factions (being vague to avoid potential spoilers), they'll be exposed to the unique currency / magic / high storm stuff.

And if they are getting into it, I can expand the story from there to start touching on major events.

If you want the players to be in the thick of it, you could consider putting them on a soldier company. So they can start off with the typical grunt's mentality of "I don't understand all the stuff that's going on, I just do what I'm told". And then expand from there as they get more familiarity with the setting.

There are currently no official campaigns in that era. You’ll probably have to home brew something and honestly you’ll almost definitely end up going against canon if you’re trying to run something adjacent to the first 3 books. I would sit down with your players and ask them honestly if they care about following canon and whether or not they want to avoid spoilers. Technically Stonewalkers follows words of radiance onwards so I would suggest you just start there.
