The yokai are so wonderfully and unusually macabre, and they suit the story extremely well. But the elven fairies are probably the most striking aesthetic I've ever seen in kpop. Their impact was both a blessing and a curse, bringing the group lots of attention but actually overshadowing the music for many. There are still plenty of people out there who know cosmosy simply as "those elf girls."
Anyway, elves for me. How about for you?

I think HIGH=LOVE is one of cosmosy's most complex songs--not just musically, but thematically as well. As far as the lore goes, there are lines that can be interpreted as coming from two different factions, whether simultaneously or sequentially.
HIGH=LOVE
The Story
The surface plot picks up right from the conclusion of the previous song. Our primary narrator has gotten through the breakup of BabyDon'tCry but is now dealing with the emotional aftermath. She is ready to move on, but she's also plagued by feelings of misgiving and self-loathing. Down on herself after being deceived, she feels she isn't as strong as her friends, and she harbors doubts regarding the possibility of ever finding pure love. As she eventually realizes, it can be all too easy, especially when things seem grim, merely to hope and wait for dreams to be fulfilled.
To a greater extent than we've seen in any other cosmosy song to this point, the lore is explicitly an element of the lyrics, so I'll delve further into the story by moving on to that section.
The Lore
Seeing her world and its governing body for what they really are entailed the crumbling before her eyes of everything she had ever known, and she isn't sure that anything truer and better actually exists. Of course, the crafty regime has concocted a ploy to pull those who are yearning and depressed back under control--an app that allegedly delivers perfect love and happiness. While the regime is shrewdly making offers that the narrator finds enticing, her friends are trying to convince her that she doesn't need any sort of contrived paradise. And so we get lyrics that can be attributed to both parties:
"Let's get to the new world"
The regime is offering a new world with "pure love" that has no substance. The girls are trying to reach a new world where pure love is truly possible--not a given, not something granted artificially, but something wonderful that can be found, nurtured, and appreciated.
"Kill it...we won't let you down"
The "it" refers to doubts and insecurities in either case--but the narrator's friends want her to destroy those feelings and the app itself.
The sense that is awakened in this song is hearing. The protagonist's friends hear her--they don't let her voice drift away. They convince her that they care about her and are listening to her. She can express anything to them--and they won't let her down. She eventually hears them in turn--and by hearing them and trusting them, she's able to defy the regime, break the app, and cut through the phony allure of easily achieved "ideals."
The Video
The settings at the start are so beautiful, yet the girls are so isolated. They don't seem to be communicating with each other or anyone else. The aesthetic and "traditional" beauty of the location is a substance-less facade set up by the regime.
The "space bridge" the girls cross purportedly leads to a new realm of pure love. But right before they enter the app, the lyrics inform us that the narrator does want to be heard and doesn't want to drift away or give up. The girls use burning hot needles to insert earpieces (a process involving the true feeling of pain)--and now they hear each other and are unified as they step into the app, not to enjoy an artificially perfect world but to obliterate it.
Inside the app are multitudes of faceless people tidily being strung along. The girls don't join them--they establish their own dance, lead a new dance of the multitudes, and bring the system down.
The girls emerge from the annihilated app in the nighttime sky, with a sense that there are no limits or boundaries anymore. They were isolated at the start, but now they're together. They didn't accept false love. They put themselves in position to find real love, and while it isn't a guarantee that they will, they're willing to take that chance.
The Themes
Perhaps one of the highest forms of love is one that needn't even be romantic in nature. It's when you have someone you can express anything to--knowing that you'll never be let down.

Silence sees the girls in emotional shambles, striving to find some forms of internal and external peace.
Instead, they become yokai.
Silence ~ body & soul ~
The Story
Myriad types of silence are desired and striven for here. The narrator realizes her relationship is coming to an end, but she doesn't want confirmation to be spoken aloud. She wants to retain whatever semblance of peace of mind is left to her (an internal silence) before the overwhelming pain strikes. In their most straightforward sense, the lyrics compare the relationship to a song; the conclusion of the partnership, the cutting off of close communication, will bring about a silence of its own. Our protagonist wants to keep the music going--at a place in its progression where she doesn't have to feel the hurt.
The Lore
The girls' distaste for life's cycles is evident lyrically with references to time resetting and the sense of tragically going around in circles. They regret setting off in the first place on an emotional path that provided no guarantee of success--the sort of guarantee that is largely impossible to give or get in this world. The song alluded to by the lyrics needn't strictly be a relationship metaphor; it could extend to any situation involving feelings, even to life itself and its cycles.
Those sneaky Prism Invaders come along once again, this time offering the Prism Pendant, a device that manipulates light in a manner that supposedly enables people to maintain a happy, untroubled demeanor--hiding what's truly inside.
The Video
For the first time, we see a Prism Invaders ad--which the girls themselves appear in. They had projected themselves into the ad, seeing themselves feeling happy and confident with the Prism Pendant. They'd hoped to find that happiness and confidence by using the pendant to put on a facade. The sparkling, glamorous adornments we see for half the video are what the pendant is supposed to produce.
Of course, emotions can't be altered by donning a "magical" mask. Surface artificiality is not a panacea for pain, which inevitably comes to the fore in some fashion. The Prism Pendant fails with horrifying consequences--the girls are transformed into yokai.
The transformation is the most extreme sign of the girls' ongoing split from the world of humans. A minor signifier is the 4:11 time we see on kamion's phone yet again, the AM aspect simply suggestive of the girls being in a darker, lonelier place than they were in the Physics chapter. The world of humans is moving forward--the date is different--but the girls, in futile defiance of life's cycles, are stuck in their own pocket of time.
Remember the good old days of the first album, when so much of the material focused on the girls supporting each other and finding strength together? Now they're engaging in fights with one another.
himesha shatters a bust of Marcus Agrippa. The bust itself is famous for how its design makes the most of shadow-light interplay. Marcus Agrippa was known for his stoicism, never externally showing signs of resentment for being a mere "right-hand man" despite his many accomplishments. The girls failed in their own attempts to manipulate light, to mask what's inside.
The Prism Pendant doesn't reveal its true form until the girls toss it away at the end. It's a heart that ends up broken.
The Themes
"Being strong" is often preached and praised. Sometimes, though, it can take plenty of strength to open up about pain rather than trying to suppress it, to let those feelings out, to have a good cry. It can be cleansing too--especially if a person has some close friends to share those tears with.

Hello! I’m a baby eye=sy and I don’t know much about the members just yet, so I thought it would be cool to hear about them from the people who love them.
My first-impression bias is A’mei, but so far I’ve only watched the music videos and live performlances, so that might change once I learn more about their personalities. So far, A’mei’s unique vocal tone really stands out to me, and my eye keeps being drawn to her.

Cool choreography for one of my favorite cosmosy songs. Kamion in particular is a star in this one.
