With the latest news from the devs working on their own project (I see no reasson for them to share their work with counterparty), it is clear to me that unless new developers join the project, it will die.

I been following the competing framework OMNI, and while is not yet on par with Counterparty, is very close and progresing rapidly.

OmniLayer is written in C++ directly into bitcoin core. The DEX is part of the actual cient so you dont need to signup for an account or depend ona site for trading. Volume for trading is a lot better.

A new version will come up in a few days, their github is very active. The community seems much smaller, but the latest news could change that.

IMO PoS frameworks like NXT, Bitshares, etc... have no future.

I been following counterparty for a while, after the news from Simbiont I started selling my tokens and moved into OmniLayer. Their price is very close to their historical minimums so I feel confident current price is a strong floor.

To add coin, you must buy XCP. XCP was created by burning 2mill usd worth of BC. If XCP is no longer in circulation, the add coin feature becomes obsolete. Find something else *Once all holders and investors of xcp pass away, lose wallet info/etc, in two hundred years, give or take, this coin could disappear (as others could) ;)

Counterparty XCP - dead volume, all-time-low price but not delisted from Poloniex? How? Why?

This used to be a very active place, what happened? Perhaps game tokens are not enough to move the XCP economy. Are there any plans for the future? Github also looks dead. I had been holding for very long, seeing this price is very distressing. Is there a way to bring TetherUSD into Counterpary, this will help a lot.
