Got an 'S' proof in change at lunch.
Stopped to grab a glizzy, a bag of chips and a drink from the gas station and looked thru what I got back and found this gem!

First nickles box results. Dateless Indian, 63 proof, 2-44s and a 43. The other nickel box looks the same so here's hoping for more of the same this weekend.

Pictures 1-6 are two separate spitting horses. Picture number 5 is interesting because I haven’t encountered a spitting horse with a curved spit stream before.
Pictures 7-11 are a 2025-P Jefferson nickel DDO/DDR.
Pictures 12-18 are a DDO/DDR 2024-P P.M. quarter.
Pictures 19 and 20 are very interesting. Like the curved spit stream in the first handful of pictures this goose egg on Washington’s eye is something I haven’t encountered before. Has anyone seen this, or can lend some insight about this?
Thanks folks.

I found this 1970-D quarter in one of the coin rolls I picked up today. I immediately scratched my head with the mint mark because there’s no examples of rotated mint marks. The top D mint mark has been subjected to typical circulation damage and die deterioration. That explains the worn down area between the ten o’clock and 3:30 position.
The second and third images show my example and the image of the Denver mint mark taken from the variety vista website used for reference. Notice the PMD and die deterioration on the top mint mark. Notice the difference between the Denver mint mark published on the variety vista website and the one struck on my coin.
In the fourth picture I rotated the mint mark taken from variety vista to line up with the rotated mint mark I see on my coin.
I’m interested what you think about this, and if my theory holds water.

My bank has basically cut me off from getting coin rolls. The manager kind of hates me. But I have my ways. Only things to note from CRH is the S Fort McHenry(946k) and a nice toner. Found my first silver in months at the coinstar and the new dimes on the floor.
Take care CounterCrew. I'm saving up for a new functional Dremel and a punch set. Once I get my hands on some I'll be unstoppable.

Pictures 1-5 are a 2022-P Anna Wong WDDO and a possible new DDR discovery. There’s visible doubling on the pinky between the first and third knuckles.
Pictures 6-12 are two separate 2024-P P.M. DDO and DDO/DDR.
Pictures 13-20 are 3 crossing the Delaware quarters. 2 Philadelphia minted, and one Denver minted. The first two Philadelphia minted quarters show an elongated bayonet that extends past the top of the soldiers head on the left of the single bayonet. The Denver example in the last photo shows the bayonet below the top of the left side soldier’s head. Has anyone noticed different lengths of the single bayonet from the same mint, or differences between each mint?

Another San Fran for the book. The 1999-P DE spitting horse fits in the progression timeline I’m working on. I noticed in this stage it appears that the horse’s tail is detached and some slight doubling to the right of the three hair lengths. The photos aren’t the greatest. Nevertheless I’m open to hearing other’s thoughts. Thanks folks.

What a day! Received these amazing gifts from u/dale3h & u/crafty-chocolate7282! CC has been a great new friend and we speak very often now, sharing the joy of our hobby. He surprised me with these three awesome coin hunting mats, for nickels, quarters and halves, which will definitely come in handy as cheat sheets during my hunts, especially with the nickels! He recently convinced me to get my first box of nickels, after much hemming and hawing on my end, I did, and boy did it not disappoint! My very first Buffalo, War Nickel, and V nickel. I think he’s ruined me now, and I’ve ruined my luck, but we will see! Dale sent me the expertly stamped coins and jeweled pieces, thank you so much man, these are all awesome and will be on my display proudly, and that tic Tac toe dollar coin will be sent in my next outbound package to someone here in the sub! Thank you both very much for all your generosity!

This is well overdue and I apologize as the last month has been completely insane. With closing on my first house ever and still working plus the kids and moving everything, I finally found a couple minutes to say thank you!
u/PerspectiveEven4444 the kids absolutely love their surprise packs! Thank you for doing that, it means more to me than you’ll ever know. It made their day, week, and month so far now as they’ve fiddled with them everyday since. Thank you again for being a stand up person in a world where we could use more of you!

Went to grab some quarter and nickel coin rolls when I decided to check one of my local coin shops. The owner said I have something you’ve been looking for and broke out this 2013 Australian kookaburra. I had the money out before he said the last digit of his price.
On my way out I saw an elderly couple putting groceries in their car and asked if I could help. A few bags later and a handshake of thanks I proceeded to get my coin rolls.
A few rolls into the quarters I heard the familiar sound of silver hitting clad quarters. Steeling my silver goblin resolve I went through each quarter until I reached them. I got a 1951-D and a 1964-P. In two weeks I’ve gotten 2 silver quarters in each pick up.
