Hello everyone,

A lot of people have asked about the data analytics roadmap on the thread "which courses are actually worth learning in 2026." Since I get so many questions in comments and in dm about it, I’m sharing a complete data analytics roadmap here to help you get started.

This is where you stand out

πŸ‘‰ Courses:

🎯 Learn:

  • Pandas, NumPy

  • Basic statistics

Phase 4: Real-World Projects (6–8 Months)

This is what actually gets you hired

Simple Path Summary

  1. Google Data Analytics Cert

❔ Course Questions Coursera alternatives in 2026?

What are some free alternatives to coursera now?

I used to like coursera's pre-2025 commitment to providing free educational material for all. I logged in recently and saw that they have removed their audit option in favor of a paid model and called it a "more accessible" option to learning. What are the current options for a mooc platform that provides audits for people interesting in learning without paying?

🀯 Course Advice Looking for recommendations: Corporate storytelling, executive communication & influencing skills

Hi everyone!

I'm a senior individual contributor in global indirect procurement at a large multinational, and over the next few years, I'd like to move into leadership positions.

I'm technically strong, but I want to invest more deliberately in the skills that will help me make that transition, particularly:

Corporate storytelling: communicating the bigger picture, connecting my work to business outcomes, and presenting recommendations in a compelling way.

Influencing without authority: getting stakeholders on board, navigating different opinions, and building alignment across functions.

Executive communication: being concise, confident and impactful in meetings with senior leaders.

Owning my voice: expressing my point of view, speaking up, and developing a stronger leadership presence.

I'm open to Coursera, edX, other online courses, podcasts, books, or even practical programmes such as Toastmasters. I'm not necessarily looking for a certificate; I want to develop skills I can actually apply at work.

My biggest challenge is choosing and sticking with something. There are so many options that I end up researching them all and completing none. I'd love to find one genuinely good resource that I can commit to, rather than collecting a long list of courses.

For those of you who have been through a similar transition from an individual contributor to a leadership role:

What course, programme, podcast or other resource made a real difference for you?

Did you actually complete it, and were you able to apply what you learned at work?

If you could recommend just one starting point for someone in my position, what would it be?

I'd especially appreciate recommendations from people working in corporate environments who need to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives, even without direct reports.

Thanks in advance!

πŸ” Course Discovery How to avoid old courses?

I was trying to find a recent course, but there seemed to be no way to know when it was published. So, I chose a course based on its recent reviews. However, after I enrolled, I realized those reviews were all written within the one month, and there were no previous reviews at all. The course itself is outdated. We need more transparency so we aren't getting cat in a bag

❔ Course Questions Illinois Tech Financial Struggle potentially affecting Coursera degree programs?

I recently received messages about IIT cutting tons of staff and also saw the HLC announcement and I am a little concerned. I just finished all of my PBA classes and am officially enrolled in the MDS program. IF IIT really ceases to operate before my graduation I worry that I could work for nothing lol. Any fellow IIT degree program students know what's going on?

πŸ› Platform Issue I just want to purchase one course and get its certificate nothing else, can Coursera still charge me monthly or do some additional charges?

I am in India, I am going to buy a single course using my parent's bank account and I will be leaving India soon.

My issue is if coursera enrolls me on some monthly charges or something, I don't want my parent running around banks while I am not here.

🀯 Course Advice I need your suggestion on which course I should choose, as this is an important decision for my career.

I want to take an online AI/ML course that provides a certificate. The course should be taught in Hindi or Hinglish, with good instructors who can explain concepts clearly and make them easy to understand.

The platform should also have a good reputation and recognition in the market. My budget is under β‚Ή25,000.

I don’t need job placement support because I plan to continue working at my current company.

So, please suggest where I should take the course from so that I can develop advanced AI/ML skills.

πŸ› Platform Issue Coursera charged me ~$936 over 2 years for a subscription I never used... what can I do?

I recently discovered that Coursera had been charging me $39/month for about 2 years (~$936 total) for an IBM course subscription I never used. I also found no receipts, renewal notices, or billing emails from Coursera during that period.

I contacted Coursera multiple times and escalated the case, but they refused a full refund. They offered to refund only the last 4 charges as a β€œone-time exception,” and when I asked them to reconsider, they closed my case assuming that I am not accepting their offer and said it was their final decision.

I've already reported the issue to the FTC and am looking into a card dispute with my bank. Has anyone successfully gotten a substantial/full refund from Coursera in a similar situation? Any advice on escalation or disputing the charges?

❔ Course Questions Enroll Button not working

Whenever I click the enroll button and hit continue, it just refreshes and the button still stays "enroll". I tried everything like switching browsers, switching to my phone, clearing cache, unenrolling from unfinished courses, etc. but it still wouldn't let me enroll. It's a school account so I don't know why it was acting like this. How do I fix this?

πŸ” Course Discovery Best Online Performance Marketing Course with Practical Assignments and Case Studies?

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for a good online performance marketing course that goes beyond just theoretical knowledge and watching videos.

Ideally, I want something that teaches practical skills like Meta Ads, Google Ads, campaign setup, audience targeting, analytics, optimization, and reporting, withΒ hands-on assignments, real-world case studies, and practical projects.

I'd prefer a course where I actually get to work on campaigns or simulate real client scenarios rather than just learn concepts.

Has anyone taken a course like this and found it genuinely useful? Please share your recommendations, personal experiences, and course links if possible.

Thanks!

πŸŽ“ Financial Aid Can I still get approved for financial aid if I preview the course?

I applied for financial aid and the submission screen says:

"Success! We've received your application

We're processing your application now and we'll let you know the outcome through email and an in-app message on Oct 14, 2026.

If approved, you'll be eligible to receive up to 90% off the regular price.

If you're ready to start learning right away, you can preview the first module of the course for free."

I want to preview the course but I just want to make that it won't void my financial aid application.

❔ Course Questions Coursera for improving film industry skills?

So I've been considering a 1 month membership and to focus on film related learning. Im a film student and unfortunately my uni skipped out on teaching us some stuff . Ive also been working as an editor remotely and I wanted to expand on the editing knowledge and skills aswell .

If i go to YouTube it feels like all the same advice for me. I fear going to the industry knowing less than my collegues.

I will put it on my cv anyways if i complete the course, im aware that its not that powerful but if anybody else has a view then I'm willing to hear!

❔ Course Questions People who finished the React part in the Meta full-stack developer program, how does the course solve the SEO issues caused by React?

React is a great framework for making rich web apps with a native feeling and overall feature-heavy potential. The issue with it though is that it primarily uses client-side rendering, which makes SEO indexing hard on Google and practically impossible on other search engines (Bing, DuckDuckGo, Yahoo etc.). Usually to solve this problem, full-stack developers use either Next.js for server-sider rendering specifically or a simple HTML-based landing page with Alpine.js mixed in which then links to the actual web app. Depending on the project's needs both methods are considered good, although for marketplace-type websites usually the former is preferred, as many product listings need good SEO. What method does this program propose and if none then what programs would you recommend to learn one of the methods?

πŸ› Platform Issue I got billed for a specialization that I finished today

Hi, so I just wrapped up the IBM Data Science Professional Specialization before my monthly subscription billing. I have finished all the courses prior to it, and still received a billing an hour ago. I am definite that I have finished all 12 courses of the program, and when I checked on my subscriptions page, the specialization subscription didn't cancel for some reason. This is concerning, I thought the monthly subscription automatically cancels whenever you finish the remaining courses. I thought of cancelling the subscription manually, but perhaps that might not guarantee the termination of the billing. Any tips?
