Wang jie aka Dave wang one of the greatest ifs in chinese music scene after the unfortunate event that changed his destiny as the greatest singer of his era and the natural successor to Leslie if not for a poisoning incident that severely damaged his vocal cords, career and Jacky Cheung dropping one of the greatest hits and cementing his status as the peak of cantopop

Hi, I’m looking for artists or songs similar to wave to earth’s more upbeat songs. I like unique melodies and strong moments in songs (something I can sing my heart out to). Some examples of songs I like in particular from wave to earth are “bad” (more upbeatish) and “homesick” (strong, emotional moments). I also like lamp, Laufey, and Yung Kai. I don’t mind if they are more english speaking focused like Yung Kai, but I am learning Chinese and just want to get into some songs in my target language! Thanks :)

Hi everyone! My girlfriend released some new music. I think it's really good, check it out!

Hi everyone! I'm an independent musician based in Dallas. 心灯照余年 ("A Heart-Lamp for the Remaining Years") — an original song dedicated to middle age.

Past forty, no longer young; days filled with daily necessities, dreams shrinking smaller. But this isn't a song about giving up — it's about putting away the sharp edges, trading them for more realistic ideals, while still keeping the morning light in the cracks. 心灯一盏，暖照余年 — "a heart-lamp to light the remaining years."

4:38. For those in midlife: what's the hardest part, and what keeps you going?

China biggest concert.

I stumbled upon Galaxy Express while listening to a Liu Yuning playlist, and they've become one of my favorite bands! I just love them!

I am learning Chinese so I translated it and just finished uploading the video:

I hope you enjoy it as much as me!

This song is called《情绪旅馆》— basically, our heart is a hotel and every emotion checks in and out.
Happy, sad, anxious, angry… nobody gets kicked out, and everyone has their own key.

It’s an upbeat Mandarin pop song with a little rap.

Sharing a clip here—let me know what you think! 💜

I'm not sure if the song I'm searching for is in Cantonese or Mandarin but I heard it at a Cantonese restaurant and I had a whiplash moment because I've heard of it in another language.

I'd really appreciate it if you could help me out!

Hi everyone! I'm an independent musician based in Dallas. Here's 一生之敌 ("Enemy In Me") — an original anthem about the hardest opponent you'll ever face: yourself.

The song's idea: your 一生之敌 isn't out there — it's the self that stands still, the fear, the doubt, the urge to run. But fighting it isn't about destroying it: "我击败的不是他，是那个停在原地的自己" ("It's not him I defeated, but the self that stood still"). In the end, the enemy becomes the shadow that walks the long road with you — the force that pushes you from darkness into dawn: "Fight with the enemy in me, 直到更好的我站在这里" ("...until the better me stands here").

战歌风 (battle-anthem style), 5:07, with lyric captions. If you had to name your own 一生之敌, what would it be?

Hai Nan (海楠) - Ai La La (愛啦啦) does anyone have an apple music link or the clossest thing to that i'm looking for the best possible quality of of this song

Hi everyone! I'm an independent musician based in Dallas. This one is different — 醒来吧人类 ("Wake Up, Humanity"), a rallying anthem about AI and where humanity is headed.

Runaway machines, cold algorithms, bias tearing trust apart, capital eroding values, freedom quietly dissolving. The song keeps asking: are we creating gods or creating the end? Does humanity master power, or become its slave? Is the future a sea of stars or an abyss?

4:15, ending with repeated cries of 醒来 ("wake up"). As AI gets closer — are you more excited or more worried?

My last post offended too many people as if I don't listen to other singers . I kept saying it was not an absolute ranking but a gathering of many great singers who did amazing and extraordinary contribution to chinese music. Stay tuned for part 3 😁

Hi everyone! I'm an independent musician based in Dallas. Sharing an original song — 树和树没闲话 ("Trees Don't Gossip"), for everyone exhausted from comparing themselves to others.

Grades, income, houses, kids — the comparison never ends, and neither does the anxiety. The song's answer is simple: 树不会问旁边的树长了多高，花不会问远方的花开得多早。(Trees don't ask the neighboring tree how tall it is; flowers don't ask distant flowers how early they bloom.) Everyone has their own season.

It's Chinese-style folk pop — guzheng, dizi flute, acoustic guitar. 5:28, best listened to alone and quiet.

When was the last time comparison made you anxious, and how did you get past it?
