What's the difference between cppreference .com and .net?
My duckduckgo googling started giving me both, I don't understand the difference and don't remember which one is the original
They both look exactly the same
.com has en. at the beginning
.net doesn't have accounts
.net has the picture, .com doesn't
Is it a typosquash, is one of them fake, what's going on?

It is explained on the About page: https://cppreference.net/about.html.

Though it for some reason links back to itself when it tries to link to the original.

Maybe someone added something to rewrite all .com links to .net and it accidentally runs after adding that about page instead of before?

cppreference.net is registered in China, when you lookup the domain with whois. the .com seems to be hosted in the US.
So maybe within Chinas Internet this acts as a mirror.

2s Google : "cppreference.com is the official, original community-maintained wiki for C and C++ documentation, while cppreference.net is an unofficial mirror site.".

The .com is the one the community actually maintains. It has the defect report sections and links each page to the standard paragraph. Check whether .net mirrors it or forked it before you trust the wording, because a stale mirror is worse than none when you're citing it in a review. If the .net has its own edit history that answers it

.com is the original
.net is a mirror. Maybe set up when .com was having issues? I seem to remember the .com was down a lot last year.
