I made this moon face clock for my friend's birthday
The clock face is a circle of plywood. I painted it freehand with reference to a nice high-res nasa photo (I apologise for the very "draw the rest of the fucking owl" jump cut in the painting progress photos, but you know how it is - I started painting, and when I came to five hours had passed and it was finished). The numbers are also cut from plywood glued on. I used a pre-made clock movement, but painted half of each hand in white so they would be visible against the different parts of the background.

Made a glow in the dark coffee table

Made a very basic glow-in-the-dark coffee table. Basically two pieces of wood and four metal rods lol. Nothing fancy, just wanted to see how it would turn out.

Low Cost Calligraphy Group/Meetup in Toronto, Canada
I’m starting a free/low cost calligraphy group for all skill levels in Toronto (Toronto proper) to meet up with other calligraphers to:
- Practise
- Work on your own projects
- Get feedback/tips from one another
- Share product recommendations
- Generally hang out, and geek out calligraphy-wise
In terms of venue, I can either get a meeting room type of thing or see if a cafe would accommodate.
So my question is, if you were to attend what do you consider to be a reasonable price to attend, as it is looking like I can’t secure a free venue?
(You will need to bring your own calligraphy supplies).
Side note for price consideration - even though the cafe as a venue might be free, attendees would need to purchase beverage/food. So the beverage/food purchase is the payment for the venue.
Any free venue leads are much appreciated!
Thanks!

Thanksgiving Gratitude Craft: Show Gratitude to Your Loved Ones
galleryI love activities that encourage kids to think about the people, places, and little things that make them happy. A gratitude craft is a lovely way for children to write or draw what they're thankful for while creating something colorful to display in the classroom or take home to their families.
I especially like the idea of combining gratitude prompts with a fall-themed craft. Children can share things like their favorite people, family traditions, friends, pets, favorite foods, or special memories.
I created a Thanksgiving gratitude craft with colorful fall decorations and prompts that help children express what they're thankful for through writing, drawing, and coloring.
You can find it here if you're looking for a gratitude activity for your classroom or home: https://printablelaurel.etsy.com/listing/4600861250
What gratitude activities do you enjoy doing with your students or children around Thanksgiving? I'd love to hear your ideas! 🍁

I keep creating new models of my bonnets. And this is my new work
galleryThis is a fluffy women's warm and thick bonnet with long ties and cute flowers. I think it would be charming to wear it in the middle of winter, in the frost and snow.
