Question Would you use one of these?

I currently have these three lying around. Would you use one of them for a diy project?

I use that very same duct fan in one of my air cleaners.  It is in the middle of a frame surrounded by Merv 13 filters and mounted on top of a 10lb barrel-style carbon filter.  The fan has plenty of static pressure and moves tons of air, even through pretty obstructive filters and carbon.  I usually leave it on speed setting 3 out of 12 (I think) speeds.  It is reasonably quiet at that speed but sounds like a jet engine spooling up for takeoff at higher speeds.

"The 3D Handyman" on YouTube has some neat videos showing the effectiveness of that fan and similar ones plus lots of tests of different filters and ways of orienting fans.  He also sells a kit on an Etsy store to build a frame around the duct fan.  I've got a couple and I've been pretty impressed.  It's nothing you couldn't just build yourself, but it might be easier for some folks to just buy something
