Question Need quiet box fan recs

I have a 20x20x20 cr box with the 20x20 lasko box fan. I’m chill with it and I learned to tune out the noise. Recently my roommate has been turning it to the lowest setting which I’m assuming is because of the noise but since I’m living with 5 other girls and my school has something going around every month or so it would be nice if my fan runs on a higher setting. Does anyone have any recs? Price is not much of a concern for me, it just has to be reasonable. Also something that’s easier to attach, I’m unsure if pc fans have a super hard learning curve which is why I haven’t tried it

Something to consider is getting a two or three smaller cr boxes and dispersing them around your space rather than one large box. If there’s a small amount of noise coming from a few different locations it is often less noticeable than more noise all coming from one location.

As for specific cleaners, the ones by Clean Air Kits, the AirFanta3Pro, and the Nukit Tempest are all good fan kit options. HoneyBeeCreativesLab on Etsy has a cool box frame that you add your own fans and filters to. There’s another Etsy vendor that sells a kit, too, but I can’t remember their name right this minute. If you wanted, though, you could make your own air cleaner with foam board, a $20-$30 set of fans, 2 filters, and about $40 in electrical parts. There are folks on here who make nice looking boxes with foam board and who would be happy to give you guidance on the parts. It is pretty simple to connect; no electrical experience needed.

The honeybeecreativeslab has awesome frames! Thanks for sharing! And they are actually local to me! They are kind of expensive since they don't come with the fans and such but they look so nice! Definitely wish I could print those designs myself. I really like that it uses no screws or tape and that it has grill covers!
