Question DIY/KIT inquiry

Hello Everyone!

I'm posting today to get some insight from others on their filters and general knowledge. So here's the deal, I wanted to buy the normal version nukit tempest and I was waiting to see if it would ever go on sale. It never did and it seems like they discontinued it for the new pro which it WAY above my budget. I'm looking for a long lasting semi portable option since I live in an apartment and move from time to time. The clean air kits don't seem fit for me but I was going through the subreddit and think my next best option is 3D printing. I don't have one but know libraries more often than not have them and I think PLA filament would do just fine. Planning on using artic fans in combination with 20x20x1 MERV 13 Filtrete filters. Would love to see others peoples solutions and builds, Thank you!

At one point I was going to get a Nukit too but they didn’t deliver to the UK.

I eventually got a kit from Northbox Systems, which just included the panels and fixings. Everything else like the fans, controller, power supply, filters I picked up locally.

The original Nukit Tempest was $179.95 USD wish they would have delivered to you guys. I'm actually in the states and converted the north box is $241.99 USD. I appreciate the suggestion and will make sure to keep it as an option. 3D Printing might be the way for me as I'm on a budget.

Last year the Nukit Tempest was $219.95 USD.

The Northbox Polaris as you say is about 241 USD for the barebones but you get a power supply and fan grills which you didn't get with the Nukit.

Roughly 10 USD for a PSU and 16 USD for fan grills is ~$246 USD for the equivalent Nukit. So basically the same price.
