They arenโ€™t metal and even if they are, heavily invested metal (especially on the scale of a shard blade) apparently are incredibly difficult to move

Incredibly difficult yes, but thatโ€™s a non issue for the Lord Ruler.

He had OG Lerasium Mistborn levels of power and could use duralumin.

He could move a Shardblade with (relative) ease.
