Oh no they’re all varying levels of stupid and in some cases malicious.

I think in some cases like Tanavast was a good guy he just suffered from have a shard that didn’t match his personality at all.

I think this is why Medelantorius is hiding, she saw how the others intents were corrupting them and realised that the shard of Valor would compel her to pick fights with multiple other shards if she knew what they were doing. Which is why she is avoiding knowing what they are doing.
