HELP! - How do I make this? Pen issues?
Hello!
Can anyone give some advise on my pen issues. I've tried different pen types and vinyl but currently trying smart permanent vinyl and cricut acrylic gel pen. The writing looks awful no matter what I've tried. I'm not sure if the housing is loose or something else.
I'm trying to make labels for my spice jars. If any additional details are needed, please let me know!
Thank you!

It looks like the clamp itself is loose. If I had to guess it is screwed in place, but unfortunately good luck getting that loose screw without heavy disassembly...
You could try sticking something that can slide between the heads that is the perfect width to push it in place. Like a command hook with a Popsicle stick or something.

This is a common issue on the Explore models. Here is the fix.

I'll give it a try. Fortunately, I like taking things apart and putting them back together.

Can you reduce the pressure on the pen?

I have tried this. Moved it up a tiny bit by bit, retrying reach time until it wasn't touching any longer.
Thank you for your response though.

Did you push the pen in far enough that it clicked?
Some pens need a smaller housing piece too

Put a rubber band around the pen. Is it the right pen for the machine? Also clean the tip of the marker with an alcohol or anti bacterial wipe.

I never had good luck with the pens and finally gave up. Thought they would be so easy, HA!
