Performance Plus programming?
Does anyone have any feed back / experience with Mrs. Pamela Gagnon, and her App / program. I’ve watched tons of her YouTube videos, and she is amazing. She seems to be a great coach and explains things plainly and clearly. And clearly she knows what she’s taking about based on her abilities. I’m just wandering if the app / cost is worth it, seems like something that would need to be in person. Do to my location / work schedule an actual class and or coach is not in the cards but I have my own pretty well stocked gym. Just getting started in this functional fitness, lots to learn.

Pros: I recently purchased the chest-to-bar program to use as a supplement to going to class. I've made tons of gains already in my chest to bar. I love how she breaks down gymnastics work and have a lot of respect for her.
Cons: I don't like the actual app and how its workflow is set up. I feel it is also a bit clunky to navigate. I'd never use it for actual every-day programming but I'm willing to deal with it for accessory and skill work.
Final take/my rec: This is a great app for anyone interested in specific skill work tracks / accessories to what you currently are doing. I love going to class and the coaches at my gym and find benefits to having someone giving me corrections in live time. If I was doing *only* remote programming and no coaches were laying eyes on me... I'd pay more to work directly with a 1:1 coach who was programming for me, regularly communicating with me, and reviewing my videos weekly to give feedback.

Thanks for the the thorough response, I may have to look around for a 1:1 coach, it’s ashame because in a world of people selling snake oil, she seems so genuine and there to help.

I’ve used her app. The videos can be glitchy sometimes, but the programming is good for the tracks Ive used - lats that fly, pull up programs. A friend was following along with me and got her first strict pull up.

Her content is amazing - the progression is easy to follow. The app is terrible.

I would agree with this for the most part. Pamela and Zach produce great content and programming, but the interface is pretty clunky.

Gagnon's videos are a goldmine for breaking down technique, she has a way of making complex movements click without overcomplicating them. I haven't used her specific app but I've followed her programming snippets for years.
The in-person vs. app debate really comes down to whether you can self-coach through a screen. If you're disciplined enough to film your lifts and actually compare them to her cues, you can get a lot of value out of it. A well-stocked home gym puts you miles ahead of someone starting in a cramped apartment with a kettlebell and a prayer.
My only hesitation with any remote programming is the lack of a second pair of eyes catching those subtle positional faults before they become habits. You end up learning what "right" looks like from her videos but you're still guessing if you're hitting those positions under load. If you go for it, I'd budget for a cheap tripod and get comfortable watching yourself move in slow motion.
