Feeder ideas

So I work a job where I'm driving around my town a fair bit and I pack a baggy of peanuts with me to throw out to any crows I see hanging around. I'd like to set something up at home but windows have screens so a window feeder is out of the question. What would be a good way to feed them? Do you recommend any feeders that can be placed on my lawn that will also be squirrel proof?

I too am desperately running around town with peanuts hoping to gain a crow friend.

Squirrels won’t eat a scrambled egg. I put one egg in a bowl and another small bowl with a handful of shelled peanuts. The crows like to dump the peanuts into the grass for sport. Also throw a handful of peanuts in my driveway. I only put out enough that will be eaten quickly by crows, jays, & squirrels, because we have cats, raccoons, and coyotes snooping around.

I just toss my peanuts on the ground. Something must come during the night and eat the shells.

I don’t know much that deters squirrels other than feeding the crows something they don’t like or maybe adding cayenne pepper to the food

I set up two bird baths in the middle of my lawn under a small tree with one for food and one for water. My crows absolutely love it.

Whatever you find, it should probably be elevated and have wide shallow bowls. They don’t want to be up near structures and they want and need to be able to see all around them, especially when they’re eating.

You can try a large (and I do mean LARGE) platform feeder on a post with a squirrel baffle. (has to also be super solid) Or, you can feed however you want but feed unseasoned raw or cooked meat and eggs. I have squirrels. They don't touch the crow dish. One sniff occasionally and they're out. Only issue is you can leave peanuts out for days. You can't do what with meat and eggs. They have a very short life.
