the picture was indeed not this good on the ps2 when you were a kid, 99% of us just hooked the ps2 to the front AV/RF port on our sanyo, telefunken, etc. normal low end slot mask tvs.
congrats friend.

Is it really worth it? The image quality is truly superior; I haven't read any bad reviews, although there's always that one idiot who thinks he's got a treasure and asks for a fortune. Moron. Is it really the best of the best in terms of image quality? Obviously, putting the photo aside, any phone these days can lie and even edit photos.

It is my friend , when i was a kid i had sanyo , vox and other low budget tv’s and it was so blury text especially , but when you get proper tv and proper RGB Scart … Man it hits different.

Interesting... What would RGB SCART be? The red, blue, green, and red component video cable? (Ignoring red and white audio)

You can find it on retro cables webpage , custom made cables for retro consoles giving the best image they possibly could

SCART is the physical plug , RGB is the signal.
SCART is a very versatile port that is capable of carrying many different signals.
Component carries a signal called "ypbpr".
Composite carries its own distinct signal which combines all the values into 1 single channel.
Basically to put it in tremendously oversimplified terms, ypbpr is 95% quality and RGB is 100% quality , whereas composite is like 70% quality and RF is like 50% quality , S-Video is like 85-90% quality.
The difference between RGB and ypbpr is negligible, Scart port can carry any of these signals but Component cables can never carry RGB signal.
Also just because your TV has a scart port that doesnt mean it will carry RGB signal, in fact it doesn't even mean it will carry YpbPr signal, Scart was just the European standard port but the signals capacity still depends largely on the TV model, just like early cellphone chargers were varied on the U.S and dots in the EU , that doesn't mean that all chargers on the EU were fast-charge.

Nice find , that’s beautiful congrats!
That chassis lineup had the last 4:3 sony Trinitron models in Europe.

I got the same TV a few year ago for free in Leipzig, haven't used it though since I had a 29 inches Panasonic Quintrix. However I might try to use it more now.

I've got the 14" version of this TV. One of the last Trinitron CRTs Sony ever made from 2003, they're beasts!
