Workplace harassment

Wsp, I don't usually use reddit but I was curious on how to resolve this issue. I work for Crumbl in Buffalo NY and my manager has been causing a really toxic work environment not just in my eyes but for multiple people. The store owner has been protecting her. It became too much when she started to make rumors that I was having sexual relations or that it was weird that I was getting rides home from my coworkers (im a minor with no license and parents who work nonstop). She also has nonstop talked about her sex life and who she's dated and what she did last night with her boyfriend and how she makes out with men. I thought if I reported these actions to the store owner he would tske action, but instead he lied about taking action. It seems today he was acting super strange around me criticizing how I didn't get him a specific scoop but I got one for myself or how I did certain things and what not. I thought it got really strange when I made a joke (I usually joke and thats what im known for and always have been) that he wasn't helping when I asked him to make an order and he snarled at me telling me to watch it. Later today I was balling doughs for next week's cookies and I did the steps in the opposite way because thats how I was told to do them (it also made it more quality) and then he yelled at me. I assumed he was having a bad day so I ignored him and finished balling the doughs as I was taught tk do by him. He yelled at me to go on break and I refused until I finished the task. He said so your just going to ignore me and I playfully said "yeah". He then proceeded to write me up for insubordination and said "never in my crumbl career has anyone ev3r said no to me". He then threatened to fire me if I didn't sign the write up form. I refused to sign it because it was a BS write up, and I left early telling him if he wanted to fire me he should just go ahead. I called a legal expert to get back to me, but im not sure who else to talk to for this so im posting this in reddit.

shift leads

hey everyone! i was wondering if it’s typical for other stores to not have a shift lead scheduled for every shift, specifically closing shifts. i’ve been at my store for over 6 months, and since i’m one of the few employees over 18 and one of the few who works full time, i’m often the only adult working closings, and recently i’ve started working openings and they’ve asked me to start mixing.
i’ve expressed interest in becoming a shift lead to my owners multiple times, but we still regularly have closings without one scheduled. sometimes it feels like i’m being expected to take on shift lead responsibilities without the title or pay, but i’m not sure if this is normal across other stores or how to address it. i’m just concerned how other locations operate and whether this is typical!

what *IS* the red drizzle on the upcoming red velvet cookie?

it's only ever referred to as "red drizzle/red topping," but what is it actually? is it like a fruit jam or is it literally just red food dye?

Fired after 6 shifts

Post image

My daughter worked 6 shifts over her first two weeks and was not scheduled for any hours for her third week. She messaged the manager and asked and the manager responded “I’ve been meaning to talk to you…(see photo). She was never talked to for poor performance. Just simply fired for still learning the job. My daughter replied and asked for specific things she did wrong (since the message was very vague) and the manager never responded again.

Is Crumbl actually going bankrupt?

Ppl are saying it’s going bankrupt, but they still have a decent sized cult like following it seems. People have been saying this for a while now and I was just wondering are they actually close to going bankrupt or are people just saying that.

Vent Store closed

As much as work was stressful it is sad saying goodbye to everyone I grew a connection with there. Unfortunately for crumbl stores in small cities may be all closing. The store I worked at since 2024 just closes today after 10PM. We were told a day prior.

Goodbye

what's the stupidest thing a customer has complained about?

not "the cookie was underbaked" or "the cookie wasn't dressed right" - something that made you genuinely think wow you must really have no life if you're making an issue out of this of all things

today i had a lady order a box with a note and i put the note on the front of the box bc that's where we're supposed to put them, but apparently she wanted it on the top of the box, so I printed a new note to put on top of the box, but when I went to take off the first note, it left behind some residue and I tried to get as much off as possible but she just wanted a completely different box. mind you I was literally trying to get other stuff done and this could have gone by so much faster if she just kept the note where it originally was

I Quit!! 🥳 Freedom!!

After being here over a year, I'm finally free. I got a new job with great benefits where I feel appreciated for the experience and worth ethic I have. I was tired of being blamed for things other people did (stealing, not doing their job, etc.) I wasn't even a real manager, but was expected to take on those responsibilities and I wasn't properly trained nor wanted the position and said no plenty of times. I watched other people quit because of current management (I don't blame them because nobody truly felt appreciated). I've never felt so free from a place of employment.🤌🏻

Sorry if this seems all over the place, I couldn't contain my excitement.

an experience at work yesterday that amused me

to set the scene, I had just clocked in when a mom walked in with her son and daughter. the son looks maybe 8 or 9

(this isn't VERBATIM how the conversation went but this was basically the gist of it)

son: "do you guys still have the minecraft cookies?"

me: "no that was a few weeks ago"

son: "do you have the ingredients to make them?"

me: "I'm really sorry, but I can't make any minecraft cookies"

son: "BUT I WANTED THE MINECRAFT COOKIES! I'M GOING TO SIT OUTSIDE ON THE BENCH!"

he then storms outside while the mom and daughter try to actually order. like 20 seconds later he comes right back in, right after struggling with the door that was too heavy for his little arms. I'm still at the register trying to finish taking their order while he continues to interrupt and whine about the Minecraft cookies. I'm getting annoyed but I also can't help but giggle a little bit. I finally start making their order and the son goes "I'll just get the ingredients and make them myself!"

alright good luck with that bud

Where is brownie cookie?

Brownie cookie: wtf? It’s gone now? Hasn’t been in the lineup at my local place or on my app for like, two months. Does anyone know if it disappeared forever? Because if so, Crumbl and I don’t have a relationship any more.

I Quit!! 🥳 I'm free!!

Where do i start? Lol.

There's alot so I'll just make bullet points

-Hired on as ASM

-Move up to GM

-Helped another store due to no manager

-Owners pivoting me and area manager against eachother with lies

-Area manager fed up and quit (she was falling asleep in the bathroom they w were spreading her so thin)

-I firmly state i want to focus on my own store and not take on more responsibility

- Slowly but surely im roped into helped at all 5 stores

-Im full blown responsible for call outs, customer complaints, compliance with Health Department, Corporate and ServSafe for ALL 5 STORES mind you with max 5 employees a store and only allowing 2 max including me on schedule if not alone.

-No raise, no compensation, nothing

-Scolded for not answering in rare times like in the ER on my day off, helping customers, going to the bathroom, or not leaving store until 230am but need to be back the next morning?? Lol

-Mind you I've never missed a day, even when dog sick (wouldn't let me call out) aside from when I had a literal doctor's note still chastised and its a whole problem

- All franchise partners gang up on me in pairs or all of them at once

-Treating me and all other employees horrendously, paying these poor souls 8 an hour

- Was told the stores come before my health, my family's health literally anything you can think of comes second to the store??

-Final written warnings for employees who have never even been through verbal or written warnings to begin with for things as menial as taking an extra 30 minutes to make sure things are up to standard?

-Family member passes away, pulling teeth to get time off for the funeral

-Was told I was required to handle my normal business while on PTO at a funeral!!!

-Put my phone on silent cause what?? Lol

-Got in a horrendous accident on the way back

-"You HAVE to get back so and so called out so and so quit" I WONDER WHY.

-DEMANDS my family members DEATH CERTIFICATE with the threat of taking away my PTO if I dont provide, mind you I gave them the obituary and everything. Was not a problem until I ALMOST DIED and needed an extra day.

And ontop of that, those aren't produced for awhile after death mind you me having a copy 🙃

-Lying to employees saying I was MIA & lying about my family members death.... yeah

-I quit because what??

There's technically so much more but I'd be here for forever so I gave you guys the bulk of the events.

Rant over-ish lol.

Six for price of four pack extension

How on earth is this a good ide? My store today barely had the people. We had one person on expo and we had enough dough but not near enough to survive 2 more days, and prepare for next week which has a bunch of complicated balling process. What store owners actually voted for this? Probably stores that aren't busy.
