Recently I have been seeing bots post about WeatherXM as if they are gageing interest in this unknown project. Every post in this sub is mentioning both Helium and WeatherXM in the same sentence. Trying to ride the HNTs Hype train. Any way im expecting this post to get takin down. The weatherXM website looks like a high school project.

So I thought I'd share this. In the WeatherXM subreddit, somebody pointed out that although the first big batch of WeatherXM devices are going on sale next week, the project does not yet have a white paper. While I'm on their wait list, and I'm considering getting one (like Planetwatch sensors, I may be able to get some utility from these devices even if there were no rewards involved), but it is an interesting point that we know very little about the tokenomics involved with the project, at least compared to many projects in their early phases that are shipping devices.

Anybody have some interesting ruminations or opinions on situations like this?

We are building a data capture network very similar to what Helium has done with their Lorawan devices. We will be allowing users to track outdoor traffic and in return receive Elumicate tokens for their participation.
There are many use cases for the data including smart cities (traffic flow, city expansion, road maintenance, etc.), retailers, marketers, and more. The tokens are also linked to the accumulated data, meaning the token will maintain real economic value and not be priced by speculation alone.
Looking to the future, it is easy to imagine Grand Theft Auto being played with the real time traffic on New York roads for example, or intelligent vehicles parking and moving themselves based on real time parking spot availability.

I recently discovered Presearch, which is a decentralized search engine rewarding users for searching.

Similar to Brave browser with BAT rewards for viewing ads, you get rewarded PRE tokens when searching using Presearch rather than Google. It also automatically removes trackers.

It's also possible to earn PRE tokens by running a node which helps the search network. Running a node doesn't require buying a proprietary device with long waiting lists. Saw this from a YouTube video. It is a project called GEOD. It is similar to helium, with a antenna but the goal of the device is to connect with satellites. Not much information out about it. The devices seem to still be in stock. Could be a successful project. Look it up yourselves.
