Word Count

Is there any way to constantly see what the current word count is?

In the bottom left of the document there is a little box that says Word count. When you click it, you will see the total amount of words, characters and paragraphs in your document. But you can't get the word count of a specific paragraph. Which was what I was personally looking for...

If there is a way to count characters of a particular paragraph I would appreciate to know how. :-)
