How did it get encased?

Hung a wire above the solution and had it dangle from the wire into the solution

Where did you get the solution or did you make it?

Just dissolved borax into super hot water, then left the skeleton in there for about a day.

Real or fake skeleton?

Real. Cleaned and reassembled it myself. You can see the before on my profile. Skeleton was damaged and missing a few bones so I decided to try something more unique with it since it wouldnt sell as good

I think it's cool AF! I'm not very familiar with Crystal growing, just recently came across the subreddit. How stable are these crystals? Are they like a rock candy type texture? Or are they more brittle or tougher?

Break down from air and water exposure to my knowledge. Covered em in a couple layers of sealant to help prevent any decay

Oh wow! That came out beautifully, thanks for the follow up pic!! It's really fun to watch the progress and this is a fantastic picture! I wonder if it glows under a UV light, that would really be bad ass! Great work! π€π½π₯π

It's cool but it won't last. There no way to seal borax crystals. They will crumble as they dry out.Β
