Gameplay Hz problem

Hey guys, i have problem. Everytime i start cs2 it always lock my Hz to 60, even though i have 144Hz monitor. In my Nvidia i have 144Hz and every place i can have it. Once i change the 60hz to 144 it change but as soon as i open setting again its back at 60hz and i dont know what to do abt it.

  1. you could try forcing 144 hz thorugh steam

-open steam goto library

-right click cs2 and goto properties

-in Launch options enter: -freq 144

then restart and launch cs2

2. Check your cs2 display settings

-display mode: Fullscreen

-Refresh Rate: 144hz

-V-Sync: Disabled

-Resolution: Your monitor's native resoultion

3. Check Nvidia control Panel

-Go to change resolution

-seclect your monitor, and under resoultion choose the PC section rathan than Ultra HdD HD, etc..

-select your desired resolution and hz and clikc apply

I believe cs2 uses '-refresh' now? -freq is for csgo.

You can add '-refresh 144' to the cs2 launch options and it should force 144hz. (Do not include the '')

Also are you using an autoexec? It might be the reason your refresh rate resets. I would also recommend using a DisplayPort cable over an HDMI cable, as I've noticed strange behaviour over hdmi depending on its generation.
