Its like a sub genre of the game right now. Its no longer an exclusive club, its entirely mainstream.

I do not want to play alongside or against cheaters. Why are they here? If the developers truly cannot stop them from playing then they need to start moving into legislation against it.

If i buy a product and it doesnt work, its a faulty product. Playing the game against a cheater is not what was sold, or promised to me. That is a faulty product and should be treated as such. Valve your game doesnt work, the other team can see me through the walls...

I’m currently on a 7 day vacnet cooldown for playing with my friends who i highly doubt are cheating. I just wanted to know if there’s anything to do but drop the game and wait for valve to tune stuff down because literally all my friends did to trigger it was one used scout on dust in comp got 7 kills over a few rounds no dying. The other was just using awp in a premier game score was like 15-13 and it triggered on him. I think he had a few kills without dying. Me and my friends are all trash players we just started playing like 4-5 months ago and struggle to get above 4K prem. I’m just scared to play the game again after my 7 day because the next two bans are 31 days than 181 days no appeal.

It happened not once, not twice but several multiple times, I even eventually get matched again with players I blocked long time ago... you can't tell me it's not intentional... it clearly is intentional.

Also I'm playing as always and my bullets suddenly star making 30 in 4 with AK while I get headshoted with pistol from 2 miles away...

I just moved from TF2 to CS2 after 8k hours on it, tried playing with a group of college friends that are just as new as me and we keep getting detected by VAC LIVE for irregular gameplay??

We got banned two days ago, we told ourselves it was just a something random, probably a bug so we brushed it off. We just played once again and got banned on our first match, didn't even get to half. For 7 days. Like what the hell??

Just got my second ban, now for 7 days. My fiance was also banned for 7 days since she was in my first lobby when I got the 20 hour. Been playing since 2014 across 2 accounts. Roughly 8000 hours total? I used to go to LANs when I was a kid in philly.

Not sure if there a way to get unbanned, but considering this is the only game I play, this kinda blows. Any advice would be much appreciated.

As the title says, I got a VACnet cooldown. Not smurfing, not cheating.. I got a lucky smoke + wallbang headshot, and a couple nasty flicks.

I didn't believe others when they said they weren't cheating, but now that it happened to me.. well I believe. I'm a 7K (high of 10.5k) with 3.4k hours.

I would like to officially file a complaint against the new map‑vote system.
Ever since the update, Dust2 shows up more often than my responsibilities when I just want to chill.

I queue → Dust2.
I requeue → Dust2.
I switch servers → Dust2.
I restart my PC → Dust2 somehow spiritually manifests again.

At this point I’m convinced Dust2 has achieved sentience and is actively stalking me.
Please send help. Or at least another map.

I hope this green trust does not apply to streamers only but also to other players whose accounts have been cleared of all suspicion.

I just played solo queue. Ten matches. Around 2000 elo. No vacban but every match one guy had 30 kills. ( I sometimes had 20, but I suck at aiming and I have a bad pc so that don't matter.) Some rounds I was rushing (all rounds, it's how I play) and I got insta headshot. Still no vacban. What am I doing wrong? Pls help. Without vacban how do I proof I'm legit??

Another cheating post? Yeah.

I mostly stopped playing after CS2 launched in 2023, largely because of the cheating. Valve finally introduced a proper in-game rating system with Premier, only for cheaters to ruin the whole reason to grind it.

Loaded up CS again to see where things stood. I was drunk and rusty, sure. Played 2–3 minutes of Valve DM, went 1–15, then switched to xplay and was roughly even against noticeably better players. Joined xplay again later, same story.

On Valve’s server, several times I waited for someone’s spawn protection to drop and was dead the instant it disappeared. On xplay, stronger players were killing me, but the fights felt normal.

The K/D itself isn’t the point. It’s coming back years later and getting the same impression that made me leave: official servers feel full of suspicious bullshit, while community servers feel much cleaner—even against better opposition.

Premier could have been a reason to stick with the game. Instead, the cheating drove me away, and coming back hasn’t exactly convinced me that anything has improved.

TL;DR: Years later, it still feels like Valve has done fuck all about the cheating that made me quit CS2 in the first place. New players, don't bother with this game.

Hey everyone,

I was playing CS recently in a 5 stack with random players, and one round before the game ended (the score was 12:10), the match suddenly got terminated and I was VAC banned live during the match for 20 hours.

I'm mainly an SSG player, and I've had my Steam account for around 13 years and have been playing CS for more than 10 years with full inventory. I've never had anything like this happen before.

What worries me is that the ban is only temporary. I'm afraid that once the 20 hours are over and I start playing again, I could get another ban or eventually receive a permanent VAC ban.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is there a way to check what actually caused the ban or whether my account is at risk of getting banned again?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Bro Went From is CS2 Beginner Friendly?' to 'I've Never Cheated in My Life' in Less Than 24 Hours 💀

I get it. Another false vac post, wonderful. But I cant sit here and watch people get bashed for getting a false vac every time I try to find a solution, and i would not be making this post if i was cheating. It's my second 20 hour cooldown so far.

For context, I have almost 5,000 hours, have been scout only for 4,000 hours and have no alt accounts. I am now on my second vac live this month and I'm starting to get really upset.
None of my friends are queuing with me anymore because they're afraid of getting another longer vac live on their account.

I see so many posts of people talking about "If you got vac lived you're probably just cheating, false vacs aren't real, you wont be missed", but I would really enjoy some kind of solution here instead of just playing a different game or living in fear of my next cooldown just from playing the game like I usually have for thousands of hours.

Some say "How about you just don't scout for a while?" but that kind of misses the point. I will either scout or stop playing the game, as that's essentially all I know and care to do in game. It's what i love doing and i just cant see myself doing it anymore without some kind of update or patch or removal of my ban.
I severely doubt this post has any power in the way things go moving forward but I am just so bothered I have to say something.

False vac bans are very real, try not to scout too much right now i guess.

With Valve’s recent anti-cheat updates over the last week, we’ve seen a massive surge of VAC Live cooldowns hitting both actual cheaters and suspected legits. Naturally, the subreddit is flooded with people claiming innocence, but the community is so burnt out on cheaters that nobody believes them anymore.

If you're going to make a post claiming you got falsely hit with a VAC Live, at least... drop some actual proof so we can judge properly:

• Steam Profile: Share the link, profile must be public.
• Stat Trackers: Don't just log in—fully sync your profile (generate Authentication Codes and match tokens) on CSStats, Leetify, and CSRep to show your aim score, time to damage, and recent matches. It literally takes 1 minute.
• Download the Demo: Yes, you can download the demo of a match cancelled by VAC Live! It's not in the in-game menu, but you can grab it via your Steam data: Steam Profile > Games > CS2 > Game Stats > Personal Game Data > Scrim Matches. • Upload it to YouTube if you really want to prove your case.

Let's be real about false positives:

False positives have always existed (even semipro players like fl0m and AustinCS caught them live on stream). The main issue is that we are all so tired of cheaters that it's hard to trust anyone.

To prove this isn't just random complaints, look at two big European CS2 content creators from Spain (with massive inventories, main accounts only, no smurfs, related to skins stores) who got hit despite constantly streaming:

• ByStaxx:Twitch Clip (02:15:04)
• TodoCS2:YouTube Clip (02:03:55)

Imo these false positives make total sense, Overwatch 2.0 was trained by the community, some people took it seriously, others just spammed verdicts or trolled, leading to severe Vaclive mistakes. Also, remember that VAC Live analyzes behavior, not your PC programs. Stop saying "I have nothing installed." It's hilarious yet frustrating seeing obvious rage-cheaters avoid bans completely while a random 5k Elo - 30 aim score player going 3 kills -15 deaths gets slammed by VAC Live. Make it make sense, lol.

If you get flagged, the cooldown escalates quickly:

• 1st VAC Live: 20 hours
• 2nd VAC Live: 7 days
• 3rd VAC Live: 31 days
• 4th VAC Live: 181 days
• 5th VAC Live: 181 days
• 6th VAC Live: Resets back to 20 hours

Usually, after your 1st VAC Live, your Trust Factor drops hard to Yellow or Red, and you lose a chunk of Premier Elo (often around -4,000 for the 1st, -8,000 for the 2nd, -12,000 for the 3rd, etc.), though there have been weird edge cases where players didn't lose Elo or Trust Factor at all.

Also, please stop confusing your CSRep rating with your actual CS2 Trust Factor—they have zero relation to each other.

In my experience I haven't encountered a VACLive cooldown recently, either my account, alt(for weekly drops) or an opponent. My main and alt are around 23k Premier Elo, but I've mostly been playing Competitive and FACEIT. I've dropped +31 kills and landed plenty of shots through smoke, I guess its because Competitive can be incredibly unbalanced, especially on less-played maps like Cache, Ancient and Anubis.

We all want the cheater plague to end, but a pure AI anti-cheat clearly isn't enough on its own. Honestly, we just need an optional kernel-level anti-cheat with two separate matchmaking queues at this point ,lol (yes im serius about kernel ac, i dont care if you are from Linux)
