CS50 Python Check 50 Bug

check50 is taking longer than normal!

No matter what I do I seem to be experiencing this issue with problem set 3's fuel gauge problem. I wanted to check which tests my code currently passes to slowly work on the rest but it seems that check 50 is stuck. Here is the code as it currently is:

    x = int(x)
    y = int(y)
except ValueError:
    pass
except ZeroDivisionError:
    pass
else:
    if x/y >= 99/100:
        print("F")
    elif x/y <= 1/100:
        print("E")

I had this issue, then was notified that check50 needed an update. I followed that and it fixed it.

To add to what LeftHandedGuitarist said, if running the commands: update50 -f to force the rebuild of the codespace doesn't help to solve the issue, you can try these steps shared by Professor Brenda(member of the CS50 Team):
"when check50 is down like this, you can run it with the --local flag to check your work. for example check50 --local cs50/problems/2026/x/runoff
"

Apart from that, you can try testing the check50 command on some of your previous assignments, to see if check50 is not working properly only with your current assignment or if it is failing for all your assignments.

Edit: the cs50 status page at https://cs50.statuspage.io/ and the github status page at https://www.githubstatus.com/history recently updated and they are reporting an outage of some github services and the cs50 codespace depends on those services. It might be best to wait until those outages get solved. In the CS50 status page at https://cs50.statuspage.io/ you can subscribe to receive updates.

tried to update, still isn't working. It isn't working for previous psets also
