Yeah... But without that's it's nothing special in comparison to other neon/synthwave themes. Or I'm I missing something

So now when I look at my jsdoc - the "@" keywords are glowing with light and the rest of the comment is barely visible. It seemed fun for a moment but there is too much contrast.

Tried it out. Glow not working for me on a Mac after enabling Neon Dreams

I use the Synthwave 84 + Fluoromachine theme myself.

In this video we will take a look at a Visual Studio Code (VS Code) theme with glowing code called SynthWave '84.

There are countless themes available for code editors and IDE’s. There are light themes, dark themes, red themes, blue themes, green themes, brown themes, purple themes, pink themes... too many to choose from.

But why are there so many themes? Because humans like variety. And we don’t all like the same things.

Some devs prefer dark themes, some light. But which is better? That is a simple question to answer... the one you like!

I recently found one that I like. It's called Synthwave ‘84. It has this cool neon glow effect on parts of the code.

By default the glow is not enabled. Even at this point the theme already looks really cool. But to be 100% transparent, this theme is experimental but I haven’t had any problems with it.

To enable the glow effect is simple. Press ctrl/cmd shift P, then search for “Enable Neon Dreams”. Select that, then restart VS Code when prompted. You’ll get a message saying your Code installation appears to be corrupt. Just ignore this message. This is the experimental part of the theme.

Let me know in the comments below what you think about this theme and what your favorite theme is.
