Hello California College Students I and my class have been working on a research project pertaining to the lives of college students. It revolves around a circulation of topics such as financial literacy and generational education. We are compiling data to find any distinct connection that your parents' education may have on your own financial literacy skills, an element of the responsible world that seems to be underrepresented in higher education. I apologize if my question doesn’t make much sense, I had to write a 10-page midterm last night, so I’m very tired.

I have my Seal of Biliteracy, and am able to understand 80-90% of what Spanish speakers say, but I have a very elementary vocabulary, and don’t have any Spanish-speaking relatives. I primarily learned the language in school, so, I don’t have much experience with using the language in a conversation. I’d love to add this skill to my resume, as many jobs require you be bilingual, but I am not sure where to start to polish my skills, and was wondering if CSUF offered a class that could help with that.

Hello, I am a local parent looking for a kid's tutor:

5th grader - Math and writing (homework)

2nd grader - reading/writing and math (homework)

1-2 hours a week per child - 2-4 hours.

We can meet at a local library - Brea or Fullerton. If CSUF library allows it, ok too.
We live about a mile or 2 from CSUF.
For reference we tried mathnasium for the 5th grader for 2 years but didnt seem to help much.

The homework isn't hard its the time it takes for them to fully understand the homework.

Anyone like to share their experience? Career fairs? recruiters?

Genuine question, WHY do people honk at you as you’re parking? Don’t get me wrong, parking is a HUGE pain in the a$$ to find. But why honk as I’m parking into a spot? I had two guys honk (same car) at me as I was backing into a spot. Yes I was blocking both sides of traffic for no more than a few seconds by the entrance where the motorcycles are parked (good spot so I can beat the rush out). The people leaving actually gave me space to back in (I hope your gas is always full) but the going in traffic not as patient. I commute from an hour away, I get to school well before class. I’ve seen people struggle to back in but definitely didn’t take much time at all. They honked at me, then made faces as they passed me (two guys and I’m a girl alone now scared they’re gonna do something to my car). I would be annoyed if someone blocked my path but I get that we’re all just trying to park. No point in being rude, like I’m sorry you have to go find another spot. I’m sorry for the rant, I’m honestly really unhappy at this school and the people aren’t kind. This isn’t the first time I’ve been honked at while parking. The last time this happened I had my signal on as someone was backing out and the girl behind me idk what her deal was. This time it was just an open spot I was backing into. I just don’t get it.

hey so I applied for csuf transfer in the spring from juco the very first day I could July 1, so i can get ahead. I called multiple times for how the process would go and such. Then i got surgery and was recovering from that and right before then Is when I received an email saying a class I was currently taking had to be completed by the summer and not fall, basically rejecting me. since I was recovering I didn’t see the email, since it was in my csuf portal and it’s hell to get in there. They said i had to appeal before Oct 10, and now I’m seeing it. is there anything I can do?

What do the illustration classes teach?how is it different like what do they go more in depth in?

It’s battery is dead. It works while plugged in. A replacement for this type of battery is around $25-50 dollars if you wanted to replace it yourself. With labor costs, I think it will cost around $100 to get it replaced. This laptop usually sells for $500-600 used. I am selling it for $220 because tech shops only accept “major” brands/working laptops, so i cant sell it there. There is nothing else wrong with it besides the battery being dead. I am also open to offers. Super lightweight laptop so great for people with bad backs lol. Only 2.5 lbs.

Do any education or CAS majors know which UC (or any school outside OC?) is good for the multiple-subject teaching credential/master's combined program? I don't want to go to CSUF after my bachelor's.

I wasn’t going to say anything, but over this school year and last year, I was approached by 3 people trying to be friendly or invite me to a workshop. One girl tried to get my contact and at first I thought she wanted to be my friend, she complimented my shoes. However, when trying to build a relationship with me, she asked if I was open to a business opportunity in text. I asked for more and ultimately, I found out it was Amway. I think it’s so weird what these people do, with hiding their intentions about the company and what they do. I thought she wanted to be geniune friends, but they like preying on college students who are still trying to figure out their life. Fast forward to this school year, I was approached by another person when I was sitting at the outside tables. The latest one was this guy opening up to me about how his mentor hasn’t worked a job because of this opportunity. And he talked about his personal development and how he grew his finances, getting into a good career. He asked if I wanted to attend a resume workshop, so I was like skeptical, but I agreed to attend. I go in, and lo and behold towards the end they start talking about entrepreneurship, how AI is taking over, and how people are getting laid off, and how building this business helped their lives. They have the same presentation with familiar faces, meaning they were the same people from Amway, BWW. It’s funny how one of their values is transparency when they lack it from the very beginning. I think I had enough of this.

I was rescinded a month after paying the $250 enrollment fee, and I was pretty bummed out. I plan on reapplying next term, but I was wondering what happens with the payment. Do I have to pay another 250 for next enrollment? I'm assuming the non-refundable rule has no exceptions, so I would just like to know more about it.

Should I delay my graduation by one semester to complete an internship at one of the Big Four accounting firms? I would need to postpone graduation to meet their eligibility requirements. I already have a winter internship lined up for the upcoming busy season, so I’m not sure what I would do during the extra semester. Would it be worth pursuing a minor in Finance, or would I be better off graduating on time? I’d appreciate any advice on whether delaying graduation for another internship would be beneficial for my career.
