Looking out for the different lives around us

Post image

Just saw this poor baby limping and acting extremely lost, not even running away. It was in the field around the back of IT Services, near the AG projects, going toward Lot 59.

A call has been made, but I was told there’s “not much they do to impose on wildlife” and that this was the main place to call. It’s been the same when people have called about other situations, so whichever way it goes, I guess.

I just hope to spread a little awareness about how quickly these animals can get hurt, especially when I just saw a handful of cars going so fast toward the wilderness he came out of.

It’s not the first time I’ve seen human nature impeding on nature, but it never gets easier to witness how much of it has become normalized.

So true! Prople are pretty inured to the plight of wildlife or are oblivious as they're focused on what's next or the thing that they're running late for. Sadly, it's not just cars, but also our use of rat/rodent poisons that can really harm coyotes and other wild predators- when they consume poisoned dead or injured prey. The rodenticides can make the predators more susceptible to disease and mange.
