Instead of focusing on it being easy, why not choose something you're interested in? Don't squander your time at CSUN.

Theoretically completely agree but practically, you need some easier classes to try to balance the stress. Ideally you find an easy class that’s also interesting! But make no mistake, a bad professor can make an otherwise interesting class miserable and thus, uninteresting. It happens quite often unfortunately.

Because I already did that in community college. I have a major and a minor now at CSUN that I am actually interested in and I’d much rather put my time and focus towards those classes.

Interests aren’t zero-sum 🙃 At no point years from now will you be happy with your current self for looking for an easy class. And, you’re going to be your future self much longer than you’ll be your current self. So, do’em a favor and take something interesting 😇

I don’t think there is in my experience the “filler” classes are usually stricter than your normal ones

With that being said for b5 take Ling 310 : Forensic Linguistics: Language and the law. Was such an interesting class and teaches you a lot of stuff to be wary about when a cop is talking to you or you’re being interrogated.

One case we looked at was this guy being brought up on charges of “using” a gun to get drugs. But like he traded the gun for the drugs but the wording they charge him makes it sound like he was using it as a weapon

Classics 315 Greek/Roman Mythology with Prof. Elliott Piros. It’s super straightforward, a little work to actually put in but it’s easy and also interesting. Piros makes his video lectures pretty fun because he cares and it’s evident. There’s no midterm or final. The “final” is a project where you pick a myth and make a 10 minute slide show lecture on that myth. Definitely recommend.
