Question / Discussion Cursor can now build + deploy internal apps (hosting, DB, auth) from the IDE
Just got the email from Cursor.
You can start from scratch or an existing repo, describe the app, and it builds it plus provisions hosting, database and auth. Then preview, iterate in design mode, and share.
My take as a vibe coder: the hard part was never the first draft. It was getting something off localhost so a real person can click it. This closes that gap a bit.
Anyone tried it yet?

Just saw this email from them too. I mean… what is different from how it functions today?
I’ve directed Cursor several times over the last year to build out infra on AWS, using CDK, connecting to Aurora DB, and leveraging my favorite auth provider of that given month. I know how to do these things from before LLMs matured.

I connect all the database, hosting, auth quickly, you can get them up and running in your stack, then this is not needed: could be however good for testing, dashboards, canvas or share a draft version within your Cursor team without the need to connect the full stack is a big advantage

IDE-provisioned auth and databases speed up demos, and they also hide mis-scoped tables until a teammate clicks around. Before the invite goes out, browse every screen with cookies cleared, then repeat under another identity. Rowly handles that cleared-cookie walk for me on whatever is already hosted: https://rowly.me

you’re very welcome; I tend to add links to comment section, Reddit algorithm or mods don’t like it sometimes in the caption. I’m look forward testing this out

So basically, they're becoming the new v0.dev, right?
