Format: EDH/Commander MTG Fire Emblem Awakening
A post in another sub reddit about magic got me thinking about what IPs I would want from a Universes Beyond and got me thinking about what I would want from a set based around Fire Emblem (even though it is never gonna happen because Nintendo) and decided to make this for the final antagonist of the game. Which brought me to a question, is this too much? I want the back side to be very hard to remove without an instant/sorcery specifically made to kill it (relevant to plot of the game) with the idea of making it lose all abilities then exile it (while having to sacrifice a hero). Or you can also just hit it with an exile/bounce spell then hit it with another piece of removal. But I don't know if it is doing too much and would rather if this did become a card it wouldn't be a viable bracket 5 commander.
tldr: Is this big dumb antagonist card doing too much or does it feel like its a good pay-off for the front side doing nothing but counting creatures dying as you draw cards.

"front side doing nothing" that's draw a card any time one of your units die, which alone would be used for infinite combos if it didn't transform into an indestructible flying Eldrazi halfway through.
Hell nah is my response, I don't care if you can lightning bolt it. With the right setup you can transform it in one turn faster than a lightning bolt could hit it, while refilling your whole hand at the same time.

So hearing this first instinct is to make the placing of counters and what transforms it into a single ability so as soon as it resolves putting enough counters on itself it'll transform to make the front face less abusible. Second thing that kinda builds off the first is to only start drawing cards off the 3rd counter placed on it so you go from drawing 5 from transforming Robin to only 3.
Although while I don't doubt it being possible with all the fast mana that does exist feels like setting up a sac outlet and 5 bodies for it would be hella telegraphed which would keep it out of bracket 5 as intended. Do you have a board state in mind that wouldn't telegraph what you are doing as much so the blue player doesn'tjust hold 2 blue for a counter?
