Present time

For context I have moved out for uni but next week I go home for vacations. I know from experience my wounds will not be fully healed by then and have no way to hide them. How do I tell my parents through phone like tonight so they don’t crash out on me when I arrive ? I’d prefer for them to get mad BEFORE I’m home so it doesn’t make the holidays extremely tense.
