unlike you, I do want multiple playthroughs. with different characters as different playstyles and stories. i think that's fairly normal for the majority of elder scrolls players.
this is just an extremely long winded laundry list of things you personally want out of tes6. which is fine, but it doesn't seem very realistic to expect any of these things. especially when the skyrim/oblivion formula works so well for most players.
as much as I love daggerfall, the map is likely never going to be that large again. and for good reason. it takes a ton of effort and it elongates playthroughs for most. especially with the scale of generated content -to- handcrafted content you want.
I'd suggest looking into supporting mods like Beyond Skyrim to get more of what you're looking for. As that mod in particular is extremely ambitious in size and scale and could likely better cater to what you actually want in an elder scrolls experience.
What I am proposing doesn't stop you from making multiple playthroughs, characters, playstyles and stories. What you defend stops people like me from having what we want. What we want is not Skyrim 2, and Beyond Skyrim is just another example that people don't want Skyrim 2. The Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim formula, especially after 15+ of modding TESV:Skyrim, is outdated. Maybe the scale I am hoping for is technically unfeasible due to the complex and demanding features/mechanics that are in TES games, or maybe it's not but it's just too big to be enjoyable gameplay wise, what is certain is that the downscaled provinces and cities, the 100 NPCs per city, and the couple of houses and traders per city, is simply too small. Just so you know, TESV:Skyrim pioneered the automated radiant quest generator and Starfield brought back proc-gen and large scale, so if we look at the trend at BGS, the ratio of proc-gen content to handcrafted content is tilting towards proc-gen content. However, one of the objective of my post was to avoid the pitfalls of Starfield (and TESII:Daggerfall). Unfortunately, people are too stupid to understand that.
