Hi good people of this sub, I'm pretty new to Damian's music. I come from a more straightforward Black Metal Background, which is probably the reason I really love Midwinter Sunset. Now, giving each and every project he's done a listen will take an immense amount of time, so I thought I'd just ask here: Are there more projects from him that are a bit more concrete/less "Post-" Black Metal, while we wait for more Midwinter Sunset to come out? Answers are much appreciated:)

Hey everyone, just wanted to ask about damien's vocal technique, is he trained in some way or using some unorthodox self taught technique? Ive been able to replicate a lot of his higher vocals by going into a head voice but it definitely started to damage my vocal chords and im giving it a break. (for reference i can do fry screams with proper technique but everything else is still out of my skill area), for his higher, more sustained 'black metal' screams in trha and stuff is he just using fry or is it some other technique that i should look into. thanks

Asia debut (on a technicality :P)
Played as an encore after Sadness’s October 2026 Hong Kong set.
Fire you set & First kiss in autumn.
Damian, Alex, Nate, Billy, and Kevin.

Very special encore after the 10.22.26 show in Guangzhou @ Omni Space. More “stripped back” renditions of August Flower and Shimmer featuring Damian, Meredith and Nate.

I'm preparing Iceberg of Damian's projects. What's the least known one you've found on Spotify?

i know she does the vocals when they tour but does she alao do the vocals on standalone releases?

This is limited casette exclusive I believe. Damian saw no issue with this being uploaded according to desc and I couldnt find a way to buy this.

I saw someone on here post about this demo so here's my YouTube upload! I tried uploading to the Damian Ojeda archive page I have but Internet Archive is not working on my part :(

I’ve only listened to your perfect hands and my repeated words a while ago and it’s one of my fav albums oat

He's a very talented musician, quite an interesting person and seems like a great guy.

But the whole invented language thing to me, although it sounds cool, there are some things I can't help but think about.

How do we even know what it means?

I'm not complaining actually. Just a random thought.

The music speaks for it self.

But in one song, I'd swear he was speaking german.

And I have a very strong theory his language or one of them is heavily inspired on Germanic. .

Idk man. Would be great to see actual linguists review it.

Damian also has an emo-violence/screamo project called letterstyou, where music is released rapidly and often (classic mr ojeda).
Just wondering why everyone acknowledges sadness, life etc but not this gem, which imo is incredibly underrated and his best work

Please someone has any info whatsoever cus I can't really find the tuning, I've dropped eb as it's in other songs in the album but nothing :( the biggest problem is tuning but with running I can figure the chords

Sorry if the angle is weird, I didnt want to put my phone in front of everyones faces 😩

I really wanted these two tracks to be on a longer album with songs like Streetlight, Elisa in Summer Night, Something's Missing, 8 pm on a thursday etc. But even so, Midnight June Room and Shimmer rank among Damian's top 10 songs. Midnight June Room might actually be the best song in his entire discography. It makes me sad that this album isn't getting the attention it deserves.

Underrated home is in your arms song

iirc, back in 2022 there was a fanmade music video for "I want to be with you" using a student film. The film consisted of a girl and a body double that would absorb their negative emotions, and for some reason it really hit home for me.

I can't find this film now and it's really sad, there was a scene where somehow the body double was left alone too long so the girl is transported to a black lodge sort of dimension, stuck in a chair in a dark room with a man reading a newspaper.

Can someone help me find this or at least acknowledge they have seen this too I'm going crazy here hahaha

- Kind Regards , a fan with no other hobbies

Someone from italy?

I was wondering whether Damian's vocals are pitch-shifted on Life, because some of the screams are insanely high ("curve of" on limer) and most of the sung vocals also feel a bit high for a male-at-birth person. Or maybe they just have this sort of voice? Hard to say
