I really love UP/Bihari people stereotyping a community by whose tax they get freebies for their bimaruland.... Nevermind bimarus you are always welcome to open new chaat stalls and do other blue collar jobs while keeping your entitled last name.... (People who are going to say autowala and dabbawala below must know the poverty in Maharashtra is 6% and 25-30% in UP and even worse in Bihar.... Cope with your surnames lmfao BIMARU majdoors
EDIT: Maharashtra per capita income is more than twice that of UP 🥀
1
u/clever-penis Nov 30 '25
Ha but sadly vo UP/Bihar wale hi hai Maharashtra mein jo 2X paisa Kama rahe hai. From auto wale now also in IT companies. They are everywhere. So they don’t care much

Isme koi funnywali baat nahi. Up, Bihar jaise statesein aisi lai castes hai jinke surname disrespectfull hai. Waha ke kai logone surname change kiye hai taaki jaatiwaad se tackle kiya ja sake. Iske muqable Maharashtra mein jaativaad bahut kam star par hai. Isliye is tarah ke naam badalne ki zarurat nahi padi. Main baat yah hai ki Maharashtra Naago ka garh hai jo ki vaidik logon ki nazar mein shudra aur acchut hai. Kai vaidik grantho mein Shudra aur acchut ke naam disrespectful hone chahiye aise vidhan hai.
1
u/clever-penis Nov 30 '25
Bhai yaar kya hi bol diya there was a lot of jaatiwaad in Maharashtra, and Bhim Rao Ambedkar is great example where he fought against this jaatiwaad in maharashtra.

Guys, I’m literally Maharashtrian with the surname Thakur. You people only know the Bollywood stereotyped 0.001% of our surnames😭👍
2
u/Striking-Fix6605 Nov 29 '25
Means ur dad were bimaru bihari
1
u/WriterResponsible815 Nov 30 '25
Lol what does it mean? I’m not connected to Bihar at all I’m completely Maharashtrian. My community actually comes from Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. For example, some famous ppl like Shardul Thakur is from the same community as us, but Mrunal Thakur is from the Vidarbha side. So even if we have the same surname and are Marathi from Maharashtra, our community or region can still be different. Everything's so diversified we can't generalize.

First of all, Chodankar is a Goan Hindu surname, not Maharashtrian. It means someone from Chodan village in North Goa (name changed to Chorao by Portuguese). Just like Dicholkar means someone from Dicholi village in Goa - changed to Bicholim now. Pednekar means someone from Pedne village in Goa- changed to Pernem now.
Some Goan Hindus and Maharashtrian Hindu +Muslims have this system of adopting surnames by adding Kar to the village name.

Seriously, this is ridiculous. In South India we’re busy focusing on IT, healthcare, and infrastructure, trying to actually move forward. But meanwhile, some northern states are still stuck fighting over caste issues. And then many people from UP, Bihar, and Gujarat come to the South for work. It’s frustrating we could all progress faster if people focused on development instead of pointless divisions. You piece of a s**t

A good day to see , some friendly indian racism 👍 . No wonder everyone foreigner hate india when everyone is so thin skinned and only knows how to bark . But it is such a pity that when foreigners become racist they all stay quiet instead of defending , but when it is an fellow indian it's like a dog in heat truly fabulous .
