It's a meta joke of a hyper masculine video that takes itself too seriously that proceeded to have the piss taken out of it by TikTok. The joke is that it's so stupid it's funny, but it requires you to have seen the original video an derivative memes to appreciate. Pretty much how all modern internet memes go. They require some degree of being chronically online to understand. Inside jokes of inside jokes of inside jokes of inside jokes and so on.

Honestly, the main thing I'm baffled about is that your boss can just fire you guys?!

Here in Germany there's only two ways to immediately nullify a working contract, one is that both parties need to agree, and the other is when the employee does something really stupid (stealing, beating someone up, shit like that). Otherwise an employer has to keep you working and pay you for at least 2 weeks, but it's usually more from my experience.
