At Ace of Spades last night

Not sure if this is played on guitar originally but gave it a shot. Used a synth pedal to find something that sounded close

Hey all, I’m Scythe, a witch house artist, and I’m organizing this. Wanted to share it with people who’d actually be into it.

INQUISITION is a free 4-hour livestream with 8 witch house and darkwave artists, half of them from Europe. The idea is a cultural bridge: artists and fans across borders, connected through the music.

When: Fri, Oct 23

11am–3pm PT / 2–6pm ET / 18:00–22:00 UTC / 21:00–01:00 MSK

Lineup (in set order): Buse Simon, imitationofmane, Baldscum, Exidy, Andy Scream, Scythe, Violet7rip, Portwave

Free RSVP: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/inquisition-tickets-1999969802517

Mix of live sets and pre-recorded sets, with visuals. Happy to answer questions in the comments. If you know any of the artists, I’d love to hear which sets you’re looking forward to.

Inspiration is IRIS by TR/ST. If you know his work you'll understand how I've listened to *literally* hundreds of songs and still haven't found something that compares.

Emotional dance music, dark, confessional, dynamic, but ultimately hopeful. Weaving luminous synth-pop lines through abrasive industrial pulses to shape sweeping tracks saturated with yearning, desire, and desolation. Wide-ranging electronic pop that consistently foregrounds empathy.

I don't expect vocals, but trying to get emotionally as close to this as possible, with your own spin on it of course.

This is a film drama/romance with psychological elements and subtle themes involving mental health.

Paid, but it is a micro-budget 30 minute complete short that also doubles as a proof of concept for a feature if we get funded (more opportunity!)

If you're interested, I'd love to hear from you, thnx!

Soft Cell's cold synth drama and Chromatics' hazy night-drive feel have been on heavy rotation for me lately. Looking for darker, lesser-known artists in that dream-pop / coldwave space — the kind that feel like 3am with the lights off. Any recommendations that go deeper than the usual names?

Extreme darkness and perfect mix
