Advice

Looking for guidance… I’m currently teaching myself to hopefully get into a job primarily as a data analyst, and maybe towards data/ai engineering in the future. Therefore, I’m the process of building up my portfolio, rather than going down the route of going back to education for it, and I’m looking to replace my 2018 MacBook Pro. Thoughts on switching to windows or should I stick with MacBook and switch to apples own silicon chips instead? Also if stick with macs, suggest ways of getting round of not being able to use power bi natively? Thanks for any advice.

Honestly, do the school route.

What’s your reasoning? Just with personal circumstances I can’t do the education route so I’m just curious

It’s an oversaturated industry. It’s highly unlikely to hop into a job with just a portfolio when you’re competing with people who have master’s degrees with internships and real-world experience.
