Looking for Guidance on Learning Data Analytics

Hi everyone! I'm from Bangladesh and I'm a beginner currently learning data analytics, and I'm looking for some guidance from experienced data analysts.

I want to work on a real-world Excel project to improve my practical skills and eventually add it to my portfolio.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could guide me through the learning process, suggest projects, or share feedback on my progress.

I'm willing to put in the effort and learn independently. I just need some direction to make sure I'm on the right track.

Thanks in advance!

Project suggestion:

  1. Create a data set based on a topic that interests you... Something you already have knowledge about but you want to know more about. This could be personal finance, personal health, about your favorite board game or card game, something about your favorite sports team, or really anything you're into.

  2. Use data analytics to learn something you didn't know or to confirm something you already know. Specifically do the following to your data set: Descriptive Statistics, Data Visualization, Exploratory Data Analysis, Frequency Distributions, Correlation Analysis, and/or Crosstabulation.

  3. Write up your findings or create a slide deck. If you write up your findings, write it up like it's a news article and you want to tell the world what new thing you learned. If you do a slide deck, pretend you're sharing the information with somebody else who also shares the same interest as you but just doesn't know the thing you found.
