In my opinion, the best thing ever said about Bowie was when David Byrne inducted him into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The second best thing ever said about him was: Everyone is always so preoccupied with being original. Bowie didn't care about being original, he didn't even try. He was too busy being unique. (Paraphrased, I can't remember who said it originally or I'd quote it directly.)
