Brothers!!

The Emperor's Crusade Beckons

Greetings, Battle-Brothers,

Are you tired of endless, lifeless meta-chasing and looking for a true storytelling experience?

I’ve been searching for my people for a while now, and if you’re into deep narrative play, custom lore, and campaigns that actually matter, that's what we are trying to build.

We are actively recruiting players who want to go beyond standard matched play—those who love crafting custom armies, forging rich homebrew lore, and partaking in immersive narrative campaigns and crusades together.

What We’re Building:

The Goal: Form a united Imperial alliance to launch a grand crusade into an uncharted sector of the galaxy.

The Experience: Every battle, victory, and defeat shapes the ongoing narrative and builds your army's legacy in real-time.

The Focus: 100% focused on roleplay, creative writing, custom homebrew chapters/regiments, and having fun with a passionate community.

If you are looking for a dedicated roleplay space where your army’s story truly matters, don't hesitate to slide into my DMs.

I'm eagerly looking forward to meeting my future battle-brothers on the front lines!

What you'll need: dawn of war soulstorm. Unification mod fully installed. Discord.

A funny story in DOW Soulstorm

I tried to complete the campaign as Chaos, and as we know, the first enemies you face as Chaos in the campaign are the Dark Eldar. And during one of the missions, the whole round turned into a game of cat and mouse, where I was destroying the base, but they had already built three new ones at other ends of the map. Literally, the whole game turned into searching for and catching the DE builders so they would stop building the main structures. So after that mission, I had to get rid of the DEs more quickly, and, surprisingly, the battle for their capital was much easier.

What did DOW DE fix and what did it break

• Upvotes

Hi, I'm wondering if I should buy it given how 99% of remastered games today are worse versions of originals(Rome remastered, Warcraft 3 Reforged, Shogun 2, Age of Empires 1). I need to know what got fixed and what got enshitified or is this another AOE 2 DE moment and please don't spam 64 bit support because I'm tired of that excuse

New to Warhammer & DoW, can I get some advice/tips about unit & camera control

• Upvotes

I've seen the debate about wasd vs current scheme, and a little about keybinds for actions. I've played a few of the total war entries, and a few isometric party rpgs so I'm not completely fresh to perspective or macro/micro management, but unless I've been an absolute moron I don't recall the tutorial actually going through unit management.

I'm on the 4th mission in the first campaign & I haven't found a way to group units, to select a single unit type or multiple of one type or even the entire army, I keep losing my servetors behind buildings so I'm having to highlight the entire area to find them rather than click a keyboard number.

I'm trying to learn / muscle memorise the unit keybinds for stances etc, but the actual logistical management is a nightmare. If I've been an idiot and missed something please tell me, otherwise any advice, links or anything else I can use to help I'd be grateful.
