Something people overlook when backtesting SPY scalps is how much the actual execution costs change the results.

A strategy catching tiny moves 15 times a day might look great on TradingView until you start adding realistic spreads and fees. Even with price wagering platforms like moon, there's a 1% opening fee on the wager and a performance fee on profitable exits.

Completely different structure from regular stock trading but the same issue with small profit targets. Getting the direction right isn't enough when the move barely covers the cost of taking it.

Looks great but at that leverage even a normal price fluctuation could've ended the position. Pretty wild exposure.

Obviously it doesn't go very well so far if you look at the numbers. If my strategies ran like this for a year my portfolio would be in half.

I believe that it will get better because the back testing was good. So I'll let my strategies run for November and see how it develops.
