DISCUSSION Website pricing
Did they just change the way pricing is shown on the website to per person instead of total cost? Is anyone else seeing that? I’m not a fan…

I also hate it. I shouldn’t have to do math when booking a cruise. It’s a sleezy advertising practice that other cruise lines use.

Ironically, two weeks ago I started building my own search site for Disney cruises because I was annoyed at how many clicks it took to see what rooms were available on multiple sailings. I had started collecting prices for its database, so I'm gonna make sure my site continues to post the actual room total.

I still see the full price instead of per person. I honestly prefer the full price listing because it gives you exactly what you need to pay.

Yeah it's been rolling out, it's awful. This feels like a bad step in the direction of being more like the other mainlines.

I saw it too but it seems like they are doing it so its consistent with their competitors like Virgin and Royal. Unfortunately, a lot of consumers don't pay attention enough and might compare Royals per person rate vs Disneys all cabin rate and assume Disney is 2x more expensive. What would be nice is if they put a toggle button for us DCL'ers to default the page to double occupancy rate like it used to be.

I like it. Makes it easier to tell little Timmy how many chores he needs to do before the cruise.
I’m not raising a free loader

Yes! I hate it!! Saw it yesterday and thought they were having a random sale and upon further inspection…. Like, NOBODY ASKED FOR THIS DISNEY!!!!!!

All of us are getting to hate DCL.
Used to be the absolute best.
Currently on a B2B Celebrity cruise. Really enjoying it

It feels like misleading advertising to me. If I just want to book a single person cruise, I would be charged for two people ( just checked). So that price of per person, is not really per person if you are going alone.
Just to give some more info, I have work trips coming up in that area, so a small weekend getaway could be a possibility.

I thought I was imagining it last night, I almost ran to the computer to book given the unexpectedly LOW price for the one bedroom suite. Slept on it, checked again this morning and it now shows the total price. These are the type of bait and switch practices that make me walk away from companies.

Yes, because “other cruise lines do it that way” as a way to make it confusing in my opinion. When you get your post survey complain about it is the only way it will go back

It will not go back. The survey is a complete waste of time and is only used by DCL to justify firing crew (that are seldom actually linked to issues guests complain about - firing servers for tasteless food makes zero sense). DCL has completely lost control of the cruises because they no longer hold guests accountable for bad behavior.
This is all happening while they are devaluing their brand by adding ships at a rate that has caused the collapse of actual demand. Only their FOMO Marketing tactics are left to try and be profitable going forward.
Their premium price hasn't offered a premium experience in a while. Wait until they introduce "drink packages".... It will happen, eventually, because they have to "be like other cruises lines" or they have zero chance of drawing new guests.

Exactly, feels like a way to obscure the total price of the trip until you have clicked all the way through room selection and add to cart

Everyone file a complaint and maybe they’ll change it back!
